I just placed a $150 order at TW, and spent another $140 at a local store.....Yamamoto, Reaction Innovations, Zman, Spro, Kietech, and Lucky Craft stuff ain't cheap y'all....and that's just a basic restock/reboot of staples. Plus I jumped on the Dobyns rod bandwagon. Now, I got all these budget rods, plus Yum, Strike King, Berkley and Booyah stuff just sitting around collecting dust. I decided a few weeks ago to return to fishing the "good" stuff. My time on the water is too valuable than to be worrying about saving a few bucks on tackle.

I’m with you on the not going cheap angle. Some of the cheap stuff flat out works but if I know something works and it costs a little more I’m going to pony up for it. Your order looks about like mine but you left out the Missile Baits stuff! I’m a big fan of everything they make. Also, my most recent purchase was another Quantum Vapor PT 7.0:1 Baitcaster to replace an older Abu Garcia that’s wearing out.

Got a wedding anniversary present, The Lew's Mach 1 combo.

Field tested it on Sunday and it catches Smallmouth just fine. I am loving it so far. The Mach 1 appears to be similar in all respects to my Lew's Tournament MB (dual brakes, tension knob with audible click, 10 bearings) The differences are it is a graphite frame not aluminum and 10 pounds of drag instead of 14 pounds. I can really bomb a cast with it but it does take more adjusting than my Tournament MB to avoid a backlash at the end of a cast. I already knew how the rod performs as I have another one I purchase on clearance at DSG for $35

Lucky Craft Pointer Rod  (BTW) Does anyone know anything about this rod?  I can't find anything, even on the Lucky Craft site.  I paid $ 65.  The reel is an old Shimano chronarch, new to me for $ 40.  The older Chronarch's still throw great.

I just ordered a Curado K 8.3.  It is replacing the 5 year old Curado on my worm rod that has been acting up.  Don't worry about the old curado though. I'm going to bring it to the shop to have it reworked, when I get it back, I'll have no choice but to buy another rod to put it on. :)

You paid $40 for that real?  Awesome!!!  Those are some of the best reels ever made imo.

Picked up a Simms Waypoint Sling pack (large) this week and it has made bank fishing and hiking a whole lot more fun.  I would post a pic but the video makes it easier to understand how it works.

@Burrows have you used those 6thSense Crush CBs before?

Yes they work well in cold water I’m not the biggest 6 sense fan but this 75x is a producer.

Good good and good I just like it because I can throw it threw the entire month of November and catch fish then bring it back out early spring I usually buy a couple at this same time every year.

right on! They seem to have a good variety of colour options. I've had mucho success with the Duo Realis M65 series, great hooks, good paint job, not the best quality.
