one of my fishing buddies texted me this on Friday night before our first tournament, I think he has more problem with the bait monkey than I do... but he asked if I wanted some soft plastics, um yeah, I'll end up with some of it to deal with too.

Come to papa! I was able to source the Megabass 2017 limited rooster set. It won't be here for a few weeks so I used another pic. It looks better anyways since mine won't ever get opened. 3oR8UD.jpg

Over the winter I decided to give jigs a try and have been slowly building up a collection.  I have gotten about a dozen or two from Seibert Outdoors and the quality, as I am sure you all know, is amazing.  Price is pretty great too.  I have had some luck with the RT Swimmers in KVD Magic and wanted to get some swimjig to match.  Not seeing anything on the site, I shot Mike an email and he offered to make me up some to match.

Pretty nice job I think.  I am currently looking for some waterproof googlie-eyes to glue into the eye holes.

Just ordered the CT Type R 50th Anniversary in 6.3 for the wife and I ordered the Tatula SV TWS in 7.3 for myself. I also ordered the Tatula elite 7'3" MH Ehrler rod for myself. Not sure what rod the wife will end up with but we're super excited to get these!

I love most of the grandebass baits. I've been using the rattlesnakes for years, and the new airtail line have been productive as well.

I've purchased a fair amount of stuff in the last 2 months will try and get some of it posted, I always forget to take pics when I buy stuff. I get excited and just rip it open, but here is what I took pics of so far.

I may have a chatterbait problem...

if they catch fish, it's not a problem.

I on the other hand, have major issue:

8 reels and 7 rods. The Kastking Stealth came in on Thursday :)

Nothing worse than eating rock hard plastic for dinner. Might as well add some wax fruit for desert!

I do have a spool of the SX1. I'm always buying new line and don't know if I notice any difference lol. But if I have problems with the TX1 I will spool up the SX1. I have their FX2 and BX2 also spooled up on my baitcasters and not sure yet which one I prefer.

Have you tried Smackdown yet?  I went through SX1, FX2, 832 and PP...  Tried Smackdown and will never go back.  Thinner, smoother and quieter- you could upsize your # test and still keep the same diameter.  I personally doubled down & dropped my frog rod down to #40 and picked up a massive increase in casting distance.

Its pretty shocking how how different it is from any other braid I've tried.  Just my .02, but man that is great line.
