I bet, shipping in general is painfull.  That's why I almost always reach the minimum amount for free shipping, then I tell myself I'm saving money by buying more tackle.

Just got a shipment in from l.a.n.d big f.I.s.h, that 20% off and free shipping got me.  Bought 75$ worth of stuff for 50$, some bubblegum trick worms, finesse trick worms, 1/16 ounce owner ultraheads, 5/16 ounce pumpked ed heads, a rapala sub walk, a #5 and #8 shad rap, a pack of GYCB Kut tail worms, a bandit 100, and a culling kit.

no thats the bait monkey telling you that

$25 later, I now own the most expensive chatterbait ever...

Hope there are no pike where you fish. Those gators are known for chewing things up.

Seems about right, since the rod they make to fish that bait runs about 7 American . . . . .

Hoping that these might be a good alternative to a Screamin Eagle. They seem just as compact.

I've only been bass fishing for about a year, but I caught my PB (little over 4lbs) on this spinnerbait in the chart/white.

Yeah my wife looked at that swimbait and said nothing would bite that around here. I want to chuck it all day just to try and prove her wrong, she said the same thing about the Yamamoto heart tail swimbaits, just as I got hit on one

Every Yamamoto soft plastic catches fish. It's not hard to prove either !

Finally found a sale at Field & Stream for stuff I actually needed. $20 for 300 yards of Power Pro, and $5 each for any Trilene XL. Also snagged this sweet Yeti thermos.

I like the 40# power pro too.  Normally have to buy it online as most of the stores around me don't carry it. They have 30# and 50#, but no 40!!

I keep meaning to get some 1/8oz Cavitrons and never seem to remember. I bet they're a sweet little bait.

Snag them if you find them. I spoke to Bobby just before Thanksgiving and he told me that the 1/8oz has been discontinued due to lack of demand.

Does it still count as a bite from the Bait Monkey if you sell some old tackle and then use that money to buy new tackle? If so, I just converted some old spinning reels into an assortment of SK squarebills and a couple of Livingston School Masters.

Went to the local tackle shop in my area.

Picked up a Pad crasher, Livertarget sunfish, a couple SK Naked Rage Blades, some Roboworms, and some Brush Hogs. Also picked up a new longsleeve.

Like a few others in here, can't beat the swing shad for $2.50 at Cabela's. Next time I'm getting bigger split rings for the jika rig. Also picked up a few 1/4 pencil weights.

This winter I got a new bag - Plano Guide Series, the big one and it carries quite a bit.   I like it a lot, but it made me realize something about myself.   Early this month my wife and I went to Mexico for a week, I did carry-on for the trip and my bag weighed 23 pounds.   I am not sure, but I think my Plano might weigh close to that, and it probably couldn't fit in those carry-on bag checker deals at the airport.

So what I learned was that I carry more crap with me on a day of fishing than I do for a week of vacation out of the country.
