frosty Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Got $20 cash back from DSG, the jerkbaits were on clearance for $3, and I finally broke down and bought a whopper plopper. 8 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted March 12, 2017 Super User Posted March 12, 2017 Finally found a sale at Field & Stream for stuff I actually needed. $20 for 300 yards of Power Pro, and $5 each for any Trilene XL. Also snagged this sweet Yeti thermos. 3 Quote

And go figure the first mtb pro comes in and has this in it. Atleast I have a spare now. Sucks though that I have no use for the huge boom boom swimbait Yeah my wife looked at that swimbait and said nothing would bite that around here. I want to chuck it all day just to try and prove her wrong, she said the same thing about the Yamamoto heart tail swimbaits, just as I got hit on one 1 Quote

The pickerel would most likely chomp the tail off and the snake heads would demolish that thing. I could be wrong though but I honestly have very low expectations throwing that thing in my situation at least 1 Quote
S. Sass Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Got these today. The reel was from a member here from the flea market. It needed a dragstar to be perfect but works flawless as he stated its like new the pic just blows.  Ordering a new dragstar today from Lews and Ill have another nice reel. Thanks for the great deal @offsidewing .   All three of the jerk baits are the KDS brand. I had to try them $3.99 each and they just kept calling me to try them.  I will say the colors are every bit as nice in person as they are on their website. The hooks also look nice but not sure of exact make but at this price I can add what ever brand I prefer and still have a very inexpensive bait. Just have to see if they work as they should. 2 Quote

Crop9 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 After accepting the fact that the 2 Wal-Marts near my house and the 3 on the way to work were not going to participate in discounting fishing stuff...I took "one last look" after my wife asked me to pick up a few things. Low and behold, I found a 6'6" MH Lightining Shock rod for $15.00  Needless to say I need to find a purpose/reason for it before my wife notices it. 1 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted March 15, 2017 Super User Posted March 15, 2017 Should have had this already. Fortunately I didn't need it. But I got it now so I'll definitely never need it. A-Jay 3 Quote
dwh4784 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I went to Cabela's today with a birthday gift card and some cash from helping a relative replace a power steering pump. Walked out with a Lew's Laser Pro Speed Spool SLP for $80, originally $129.99 marked down to $89.99 and another 10% off because I bought the last one (display model). As an added bonus the clerk also put the 10% off on the spool of PowerPro I got for it.  Only snafu is that they accidentally gave me the box and rang me up for the LH retrieve (also only the display model left) so I need to go back tomorrow and straighten that out in case I have a warranty issue otherwise I'd likely be denied. 1 Quote
