U-boat Aficionado Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 A few Walmart clearance items:Â hooks for $1 a pack, KVD's for $3 and a Rebel for $1.50. 5 Quote
Teamboca Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 I got absolutely obsessed with dirty jigs last year. Â This year I am forcing myself to get into cranking after pulling in a ton of fish late fall with the lipless cranks. Â My last order was a ton of jerkbaits so I am going to be having fun with moving baits in the spring! 4 Quote
Super User MassYak85 Posted March 4, 2017 Super User Posted March 4, 2017 I got a Hudd Gill and a Jackal Squad Minnow Jerkbait TW had on sale. Quote
TheMainah Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Â Decided to try out the new Live Target swimbaits, (blade on shad is not included) only downside so far is that they reak of chemicals. Â Also picked up 2Â Crazy jigs, 1 Crazy Blitz (chatterbait football head) and 3 of the elite series for the trokar hooks. 6 Quote
sgibby88 Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Ordered a tacklewarehouse bag the other night to make moving around at the pond a little easier than my big plano bag. Also with that order some flipping hooks, variety of tungsten weights, and finesse worms. 1 Quote
frosty Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 I was waiting on my wife to get out of the movie theater, I so I hit up DSG and gander mountain. It's her fault, she left me to my own devices!  After seeing the comments on the jawbone sunfish in another thread I thought I'd give it a try. Won't be a big loss if it's junk. 8 Quote
wdp Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Went to Bass Pro to meet KVD & dad gummit, the bait monkey got me. Couldn't resist RES on sale & also succumbed to a Stutterstep. Plus, Bass Pro is only place local to get chrome/black baby 1 minus.  Well on my way to appearing in an episode of hoarders. 5 Quote
thebillsman Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Can't wait to start throwing my stutterstep. Funny thing is, if I were to see it in person I would've never bought it given it's sheer size. Buuut, after watching countless videos and getting a good deal online I had to have one. 1 Quote
Sherlock 60 Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 I'm kind of pleased that I have not spent a dime on tackle since I put the boat in storage in late October.  Last year was an absolutely abysmal fishing season and my wife suggested I was over thinking everything. And, of course, she was right, so I took some time off.  But I know I'll fall victim to the bait monkey about mid- April.  Can't wait!  Come to think of it, I really DO need a new sonar unit... Quote

MisplacedTexan99 Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 The bait monkey got me again...he is so strong and I am weak...went into bass pro to check out the sale, not really impressive but I did find more than I anticipated. The bucoo Sr was from tackle warehouse I just got it in yesterday so I snuck into the picture. 6 Quote

Cause' it is like 8 inches long, weighs 2 3/4 ounces and sounds like a brick landing in the water.  It's the original sized wp, wuich was designed as a musky bait.  Tackle warehouse once accidentally sent me the 190 instead of the 90 size, and I was surprised at how big it was.  Needless to say, I returned it. Quote

Are you trying to imply we can't catch bass in Indiana with an 8" lure??? 1 Quote

They aren't the best price but always have colors seldom seen elsewhere. 1 Quote

I'm thinking of grabbing one myself to throw on my swimbait rod after all the fish I caught on the 130 last year. Quote

The new bucuu is great, casts even small lipless cranks like a dream. Loads up beautifully and is very sensitive. Didn't catch one on it but so far very happy with it. Quote
