Been itching to pull the trigger on a Revo Rocket. The only reason I haven't yet is because I know I'll want a new rod to pair it with. Soon......

Last official purchase was a restock of plastics, tungsten weights and hooks. Even that came out to be too much...

Man this makes my spending habits look like child play!

We're here to help.  Spend with wanton abandon, as there will always be someone here you can point to and say "But honey, it could always be worse- I could be THAT guy!"  It's all perspective, and we're here to make your financial transgressions pale in comparison.  Don't say we never did nothin' for ya!  ;):D

Bait monkey has been out of control this month just placed a tw order on jigs for $1.97 each and picked up 3 m.s. slammers on another site and a Daiwa Pixy on Ebay.  I will post pics when everything gets here.

Been reading up on glide and swimbaits.........long story short I got a Megabass levante leviathan 7'11" and a Abu Garcia revo beast on the way. Now just need to figure out what size/type of line to use.  Curse you winter blues!  Picked up a kayak at the end of fall and only had it out twice with no luck, so COME ON SPRING!!!

Jealous of that Levante!

I just received my Shimano Stradic CI4+ from Tackle warehouse (sorry, meant "another site"). It pairs almost perfectly with my ML Powell rod- balance point is about 3/8" past the bail. The whole combo is nice and light and feels like it will be pure joy to fish some finesse baits with!

I just fell off the wagon and picked up a new telescopic lure retriever, two new 3700 boxes, and a couple spools of line, one 10 and one 15 pound. Planning on going back today after work and picking up some Rage Tails, Super Chunks, and Paca Chunks.

i was undecided about line as well but i figured mono was the best choice for the job since it has some stretch and it's still buoyant enough for wakes and topwater

Durn bait monkey lured me to TW. He knows I'm looking at a new truck but he just doesn't care...

I just completed a Bait Monkey 12 step program over 60 days ... Then innocently enough - I buy a small pack of EWG hooks , then the next day I have to have every color metal flake Green Pumpkin Trick Worm I can find and clean out all tackle stores in a 20 mile radius !

After a family intervention , I'm back in rehab for another 60 day stint - with any luck at all I'll be out just about the time the Spring sales start !

Someone make it stop, I just made a $250 TW purchase. Boss told us our yearly bonus yesterday and it was quite a bit more than I expected. No better way to celebrate than an order from TW. I'll post pics when it comes in. Got a ton of stuff.

Edit: Here is what I bought lol

Finding this thread was very reassuring, I thought I was the only one who compulsively buys tackle.   :P

I only started fishing maybe 2 years ago and just freaked out and bought all sorts of random stuff.  Part of me wants to sell/give it all away and start over now that I have a better idea of what I want/need.

Those VileCraws are awesome. Alabama craw looks great, definitely my favorite color.

Most important purchase every year. Hard to catch fish without hooks. I'm ready to go common spring.

Flipside : While in Bait Monkey Rehab - I got caught on the library computer looking over your TW order list ... My councelor just advised my family I had a "setback" and that five more days would need to be added to my rehab stint !

I have been fishing a long time but got bit 2 years ago by the bait monkey and bought everything I could find that I thought I needed.  I sell stuff I find that doesn't work and replace them with things that have worked in the past or things I want to try.  Rods and Reels are the worst for me right now.

Making mental note ... do not buy used fishing tackle from Murrica.

Well I couldn't help but notice Walmart had expanded their clearance section to a complete isle both sides now. So I strolled down through there and again they had Pepper Custom Spinner baits. I bought every one they had last time I was there. Was only like 3 or 4 then. Well today they had eight 1/2 oz for $3.00 each so I loaded every one of them in the buggy then I saw three 3/8 oz ones but they had red tags marked $5.95 and when I scanned them they were still $5.95 so I left them. This time there was some assorted Strike King tungsten for $5.00 a pack so I picked up 2 of them. Quite a bit of Zoom plastics Owner hooks etc all over there. I had to leave I didnt need what I bought but you know how it is.
