ThatZX14Fella Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 You guys suck. Just went to a local tackle shop and bought a $50 pair of sunglasses and quite a bit of tackle. Spent $126 in total, and bought my first Lucky Craft. It's a 1.5 squarebill. Quote
Jaiden Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Nice bait. Â I had to talk myself out of buying one the other day. Â I haven't looked to see if they're sold out, too tempting. Still up . I tested it in the pool yesterday and I really like the swim. It's really fluid at all speeds and can 180 pretty easily. I'm keeping mine, but I'm sure they'd resell for close to, if not more than retail if you decided to get rid of it. Quote
Heron Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Ok I kinda splurged this time.. Â > 1-Snagproof Wiggle Wog >Â 1-Megastrike scent > 1-3" Kalins lunker grub > 1-Rage tail Cut R Worm. Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted July 19, 2015 Super User Posted July 19, 2015 I hadn't bought anything for about 3 weeks....so, I bought a couple handles from Hawgtech with those totally sweet Winn grips. Â Â I have a couple of the 102mm swept w/winns on my old Shimano CA-200's. Â Â I ordered the 90mm and 94mm straights w/winns for a couple of my Daiwa this time. Quote

The wiggle wogs are a pretty cool alternative to normal frogs. They definitely get hit but just be ready to wail on 'em to set the hook. Also be sure to check your hooks. I had to send one back because it was irreparably misaligned and ran crooked. Quote

Super User Jeff H Posted July 20, 2015 Super User Posted July 20, 2015 Jeff, What are your thoughts on the winn grip style knobs? How would you compare them to say Shimano's septon knobs or the knobs found on a Steeze/TDZ? I like them a lot so far.  They are tacky, never slippery.  When it comes to design questions, I'm unsure about the taper design vs just a standard round cylindrical style wrapped with Winn material.  They are kinda big, and when I first got them I thought "I'm not gonna like these", but I got used to them in a hurry and really like them.  I like the Daiwa TD-Z style knobs quite a bit too.  It's been many years since I've used Shimano Septons so I can't compare those.  When I get these new handles I'll be able to tell you more regarding direct comparisons to Daiwa knobs.  I think I'm in trouble here now though, I like these Winn knobs and this could get expensive. 1 Quote

Super User Master Bait'r Posted July 20, 2015 Author Super User Posted July 20, 2015 DANG IT! Â Submitted an order with TW and opted for the 2 day shipping for $5... Â Wouldn't you know it, those azzhats were planning on holding the order up until the out of stock item arrived- which was a livetarget sunfish - not due until late winter!!! Â Â Â Now I'm officially not going to have them for the occasion I had specifically paid extra to have the stuff by. Â Color me not happy one bit. Â Quote
Big C Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 They are holding you're entire order hostage, because the sunfish isn't due till late winter?  I'd contact them about it, I've heard they have really good customer service. Quote
