Philo Beddoe Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 So Gander Mountain has Tournament MG's on sale for $100 and there is a $30 rebate from Lews. I have a Cabelas about a mile from my house and was thinking of going and seeing if they have one so i could get the feel for it. If Cabelas has it and will price match the $100, is it worth the $70(after rebate)? Quote
Philo Beddoe Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 You're right. This was a stupid question. I'm deleting this post. Quote
boostr Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Let's see, a nice $130 (subtract the 60 carry the 1) reel for $70... Jump on it I sure did. I Ordered it from Gander MTN plus no shipping or tax. Win win for me. It's a very nice reel. I started turning into a Lew's fan when I bought my first one a SS, and I got that for $69 from Tackle Warehouse who sold it $10 cheaper than anybody else plus back then Lew's had the $20 rebate special. Super User HoosierHawgs Posted November 18, 2014 Super User Posted November 18, 2014 Definitely worth $70. I just bought one off a guy for 65. Great reel for that price, or the original price Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted November 18, 2014 Super User Posted November 18, 2014 Very nice reel. Jump on that deal. Quote

Super User buzzed bait Posted November 18, 2014 Super User Posted November 18, 2014 bought one myself from gander mtn.... was able to get the cart just over $100 and use a promo code to get an additional $10 off. so after rebate will have the reel for about $59. i'm pretty stoked about that, but not stoked about it being on backorder with no concrete date of it coming in. talk about having a hard time keeping the bait monkey sedated.... 1 Quote
boostr Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 ^You went for the 7:1 probably. I was gonna go with that one also, but I already have a 7:1. I saw the backorder so I went with the 6:1 instead. Still want to get another 7:1 though. Quote

It's funny they also have the exact same reel listed for $129.99 with the same 6.4:1 model, 5.4:1, and the right handed 7.1:1 not back ordered. I haven't figured out why they are doing that unless they don't get these direct and they have two different vendors. 1 Quote
