This question is somewhat directed toward WRB (and anyone who uses them) because I know he uses Upton's worms. What are your favorite colors of this bait? Which do you prefer, the straight tail 13" or the UC worm 10"? Also, what kind of weight/hook set-up do you use? Thanks.

I don't know if many of you have used this worm but I have a question for anybody who uses 13+ inch worms. I ended up buying a pack of these (13 inch) and 4/0 roboworm rebarb hooks because that was what was recommended for the bait on the TW description. The worm seems too big for the hook. I'm just worried about the hook-up ratio. What do you guys think about this?

I went through a pack of them and didn't hook up with any fish, tore a lot of them in half just pulling them through some weeds

Ive been contemplating trying some of those.  But, I dont have much of anything to add, except for hooks.  Just my personal preference, but for big worms, I tend not go any less than a 5/0 offset worm hook.

But thats just me.

Skin hook them on the side instead of texposing.

3/0 or 4/0 (wide gap, not EWG) work good for the 8 and 9 inchers even when texposed. Haven't got any bigger ones.

Favorite colors are a guarded secret. But your lakes are different, so that won't matter. Find someone who fishes your reservoir and see if he'll share info.
