Super User 00 mod Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 Customer brought this old Philson metal tackle box and lures in to me, to see if I knew what they were worth. I have no clue, but I know where to turn. What do ya'll think? Jeff 1 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 Well, I inherited a similar assortment from my father. I don't know what they are really worth, but mine are not for sale. I found a beautiful piece of drift wood, actually an old root ball. I dispaly my collection on this in my Man Cave. 2 Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 It looks like some old Bombers, they appear to me the oldest and probably worth the most. The Lucky 13s in there would be worth some money if they are wood versions but antique tackle has to be extremely rare to be worth any significant amount. Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 Definitely some oldies in there! Most look to be used fairly well though, so that's going to hurt value to any collector. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted November 17, 2014 Author Super User Posted November 17, 2014 Everything is wood except top pic bottom left popper. Rapalas all say Finland on them. Bomber and Heddon primarily. Jeff Quote
Super User Raul Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 Sorry to say but they are worth practically pennies. Nothing interesting other than the age. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted November 17, 2014 Author Super User Posted November 17, 2014 That is fine. He just wanted to know and I told him I would find out. I told him they could be worth a lot or nothing at all, but I would find out for him. Jeff Quote

Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted November 18, 2014 Super User Posted November 18, 2014 I do know this i would do as RW said.. Old lures have a magic to them .And aint worth much unless they have have the original package. I would keep um Quote
primetime Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Almost every lure is still in production just not balsa anymore or modified in some way. Those are awesome, I love the sonics, they are aweome little cranks, devils horse = topwater gold when the fish want one, never threw one until I moved to FLorida, then watched a guy at a dock catch half dozen fish on one while I am throwing a torpedo without any luck..Nice collection, Many of those are true gold and tough to find....Congrats, the Midgit digit....Early scatter rap...
