RAMBLER Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I thought there was only one standard fishing snack. Vienna Sausage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Quote
Super User everythingthatswims Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 My favorite fishing snack doesn't happen very often, but when we take out boat offshore we try to keep some wasabi & soy at-the-ready...First little blackfin or mahi in the boat gets sliced up! It's a shame you can't do that with any freshwater fish. Quote
basshole8190 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Jack links and a litre of water! Quote
desmobob Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 What goodies do you crunch on during a typical fishing trip? Yes! ;-) I am an eating machine and I don't think there's a food I won't eat (yes, I've had head cheese). Most days out, I fish from before daylight to mid-afternoon, or sometimes 'till dark. I usually bring the same thing: - a box of 1/2 dozen donuts (usually maple glazed) - coffee - three sandwiches - cheese sticks - a Little Debbi's snack or two - lots of water I usually wolf down most of the donuts on the way to my first fishing spot. Then, I'm good to go for a long time and sometimes have to remind myself to have lunch. Sometimes. ;-) Tight lines (and a tight belt), Bob Quote
Weld's Largemouth Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Sun chips, pop tarts and various nuts and water or gatorade Quote
Brock Grigsby67 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I always take beef jerky or sunflower seeds. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted November 18, 2014 Super User Posted November 18, 2014 Cold pizza, beef jerky, granola bars, lots of water, and some gatorade. Hard candy is great too, I like the little rootbeer barrels, and I am a tootsie roll fiend. Sunflower seeds were a staple when I quit dipping, but they make a freaking mess so I don't bring them on the boat much. I got into the bad habit of having a cigar or two when fishing this summer, but I nipped that in the bud this fall as well. 1 Quote

Super User kickerfish1 Posted November 18, 2014 Super User Posted November 18, 2014 Depends upon how strict I am with my diet and training. Sometimes it is as plain as water, nature valley bar, grapes, and possibly a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for longer days. When I am not restricted it is similar but typically the sunflower seeds, jerky, or Gatorade/PowerAde drinks find their way into the boat. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 18, 2014 Global Moderator Posted November 18, 2014 Usually a couple Pb&j's and a couple ultra zero or rehab Monsters along with coffee on the way to the lake and some water. Since my doctor put me on a diet it's coffee on the way to the lake with water and a home made vegetarian black bean burrito on the water. It's just rice, black beans, cilantro, lemon juice, and some plain Greek yogurt. 1 Quote
