Super User SirSnookalot Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of! You are a moron! A dummy on a bike trying to take on a four door pile of plastic? You could have been killed you fool! Ok, did I stir things up enough for you, or should I keep on going? Welcome back, Raider! But, really, kicking a car while riding down the road? You've lost the little bit of sense that you had! Just move over and live to ride (and post on BR) another day. Not the stupidest thing I have seen but it's a contender. Spending 30 years driving large vehicles I have seen my fair share of stupid acts, only an idiot, fool or one that has a death wish messing with something bigger than them, right or wrong a smaller vehicle can't win. Driving an 80,000# tractor trailer (gravel trains are bigger than that), bikes, small cars, big cars, pickup trucks seem to love taking on a vehicle that can't possibly stop on a dime, that endangers all other motorists in the area. Just another thread in a long line of them where I wonder how some people make it from sunrise to sunset everyday. Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 Not only are vehicle drivers nuts but so are those men and women riding their bikes all over the place. It is a miracle that more those on bikes are not hit by vehicles. I travel the Virginia interstates and I have seen lots of men, women, old and young, do dumb things on the highway. A motorcycle and a car riding in tandem are like those drivers who stay along side a tractor trailer. Not only is this a "bottleneck" on the highway but a 4,000 pound car may wipe out a motorcycle but it is no match to a tractor trailer rig. And "blind spots." I hate side view and rear view mirror blind spots. I installed a wide angle mirror on my wife's Jeep and it helps but there is still a serious blind spot to my left rear. So if a motorcycle is in a blind spot it creates a very hazardous situation. Raider, keep out of people's blind spots and always think that every vehicle you encounter is driven by a moron. You will be a lot safer. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 Raider out for a night ride... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPaTv98wUsE Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted November 17, 2014 Super User Posted November 17, 2014 I don't ride, but I've become a huge fan of blaze orange and fluorescent chartreuse helmets. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I don't know Redline. I don't think he is good enough to be Barman. He would be more of joker type. Quote
