Who is it that humps

both day and night,

Who is it that humps

but never fights,

It is we the Security Police

in faded green,

It is we who guard

our nation's war machine,

Our boots are worn

the weapons outdated,

And our enemy is

always simulated,

But hump on SP

and do not pause,

Just say this prayer

for Our Lost Cause!

USAF 1974 - 1978

321st CSG, MSS-3

MI-ANG 1978 - 1986

110th CSS, SP

Company Commander in Viet Nam.

Times sure have changed regarding today's vets as compared to my reception when I came home.

Glad of it, too.

USA 1975-1998

My son, USA 2013 to present.

At my son's Turning Blue Ceremony last year...

Son - "Dad, do you know why the sky is blue?"

Me - "No son, why is the sky blue?"

Son - "Because God loves the Infantry!"
