boostr Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Was talking to the wife last night about how much plastics and extra lures I have laying around (like she's interested). Anywho I just threw it out there that since the laundry room is unfinished and the studs are exposed on one side, that I should put up some peg board in the laundry room so I can hang all the baits up and keep them organized. I figured she would come at me with a "NO, I don't want all your fishing crap hanging around." To my surprise she said "Great as long as you get the bare studs covered I don't care what you do." WINTER PROJECT !!! WOOT WOOT! 10 Quote

Super User fishballer06 Posted November 11, 2014 Super User Posted November 11, 2014 That's a victory for you! I'll likely be doing the same once I buy my own house. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 11, 2014 Super User Posted November 11, 2014 You've really made it, when you get your microwave and toaster oven for making baits. 2 Quote
cueball Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Hanging fishing stuff in plain view of the wife sounds like risky business to me. 4 Quote

boostr Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 I'm actually thinking about putting a small work bench by the outlet and light switch. Quote

Super User gulfcaptain Posted December 1, 2014 Super User Posted December 1, 2014 You've really made it, when you get your microwave and toaster oven for making baits. you forgot the mini fridge. Quote
mrmacwvu1 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 There is no way I could do that. I am like a child looking at his baseball cards. I get bored and reorganize my stuff just so I have an excuse to look at it. I already have too many things that never see the water because they are pretty. I did do that with my tools though and next thing you know I had a beer fridge a radio a woodshop and an ex wife. Kept the woodshop best upgrade ever. 3 Quote
boostr Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 you forgot the mini fridge. That's on the other side of the wall under the bar. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 1, 2014 Super User Posted December 1, 2014 d**n, now I have to tear out the wall in the laundry room exposing the studs and say to my wife...."hey honey...." 2 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 1, 2014 Super User Posted December 1, 2014 There's a raunchy joke in there somewhere, Sam. 2 Quote
boostr Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 Finished it before my wife changes her mind. It ain't fancy, but it will get the job done. 1 Quote
Super User Darren. Posted December 2, 2014 Super User Posted December 2, 2014 Congrats. My wife would probably approve of that today if only to get my fishing gear out of the house. See, I have a car port attached to a "shed" which is already stuffed to the gills. So my fishing gear is inside and in bins, or like the rods and reels, against walls or on a circular rod holder. Problem is, it drives her crazy. Before I try to convince her I *need* a new reel, I *MUST* clean the fishing clutter. 1 Quote

boostr Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 Thanks guys. My wife was just happy to put the iron on a shelf, and to have some open space. Just to note, the white cupboard to the left is the tackle workbench slash clean laundry holder... Had to compromise. I better not spend too much time down there, then she'll expect me to do the laundry... Quote
boostr Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 Now to put a little tv on the wall... Quote
