Noticed my curado 51 felt loose in my Fenwick smallmouth rod while fighting my largest fish to date today. It almost felt like it was going to come out which definitely would of sucked but it stayed put. No issues while casting.

Has anyone noticed this with their Fenwick rods?

I use the same reel on my 6'10" MF with no problem.  Mounted a Chronarch 101A on a 6'9" M-XF and couldn't tighten it down enough to keep the reel from wobbling.  No problem with a couple other reels I tried on the rod.

I've also heard the casting model reelseats have issues tightening down. One reason I stayed away and only use the spinning model.

Yes, a small strip of J&J adhesive bandage tape on each end of the reel's foot fixed the problem.

Yes..... I had 51E's on mine and it drove me nuts. I now have Daiwa Lexa's on my ET smallmouth rods and they don't move at all
