Looking For Good Reading Material On Bass Tactics.

I have already hit up 99% of the articles here on BassResource.com but was wondering if you guys know of any other books or magazine articles that can elevate my knowledge on how LMB do what they do. Things like their instincts, habits, and other various tips on how they operate in their environment.

 

 

Go ahead and give me an article Catch and Grease! lol, they always seem to help me out.

"Better bass fishing" by Robert Montgomery practically taught me to fish.

The "In Fisherman" series on Bass fishing is an outstanding read.  There's one intro book, then three numbered books.  They're all full of great information.  I refer back to the books regularly.  I also enjoyed Doug "The Bass Professor" Hannan's "Big Bass Magic."  It's a book focusing on the biggest bass.

The Charlie Brewer book - On Slider Fishing  will focus your attention on finesse fishing.  You are in Kansas, the Midwest Finesse fishing blog, on the In-fisherman web site, most of that comes out of Lawrence.  Those guys are hard core finesse fishermen.

 

For information that you can adapt to your fishing situations, I think that the In-fisherman series of books are the best.

 

For a good read with fishing tips here and there that old Roland Martin book - 101 Bass Fishing Secrets is ok.

Lunkers Love Nightcrawlers is loaded with valuable information about bass migration movements and their use of structure. A great learning tool for anyone interested in fishing off shore structure. The information pertaining to use and care of Nightcrawlers is just a bonus.

If you search 'recommended reading'' you'll find more suggestions in a similar thread. ( sorry, I don't know how to add a link to it)

Infisherman's book "Largemouth Bass" is by far the best I have every read. It covers so much information, concepts, stategies, etc that you will be reading it for some time to come. I have worn this book out. It is one of two books that I always carry with me.

 

KVD's books are good. They aren't nearly indepth as infisherman's book but they give you plenty to think about. I consider it a supplementary book.

The in fishermen books are good but don't buy two.  I had the smallmouth and the largemouth and they were so similar i felt i wasted some money.  I also bought the new mike ike finess book and that was good but very short.  The website for in fishermen is good and the site for field and stream is also very large and informative.  The latest info is normally in magazines like BAM if you're trying to get all the latest info.  The bass college is available but costs money.  Hope this gives you plenty of ideas to get you thru the winter!
