Best Flouro For Under $15?

As the title says I'm looking for the best fluorocarbon for under $15.

I've thought about p-line flouro clear and others but just need advice for what kind is the best?

The only fluoro I have liked in that price range is Sunline Super Fluorocarbon. Treat it with a little KVD Line & Lure and it is actually a great line. If you can wait Tackle Warehouse usually has buy one get one free towards the end of the year on Sunline Super Fluorocarbon and you could get it even cheaper.

P-line fluoroclear is not fluorocarbon. The best low price one I've used is Sunline Super, but I wouldn't buy it again. In my opinion, it's worth a few more bucks for Sniper; or I'll just use a good mono. If you wait a couple weeks for Black Friday sales, you can get the better stuff at 25%-30% off.

Sunline Super is the only one I would recommend.

Why do you want a cheap fluoro (why not a good copoly) and what techniques are you looking to fish with it?

Haven't tried one under $15 that I like. I'd spend the few more dollars and go for the Berkley 100% Fluoro. I see you can get a pony spool for $10.99

I bought some Red Label in 10#  this past Spring for cranking. I have no complaints.

"Best" is a relative term when it comes to economy priced fluorocarbon line.

I don't try to save money buying fluoro. Good fluoro pays for itself when longevity and lost lures is considered.

I would get invizx if you made me, but sunline fc sniper on a discount or BOGO is best.

P-Line Floroclear is a copoly line that is coated 

with fluorocarbon. It has *some* benefits of pure 

fluoro.

 

That said, it is a great line, IMO. There are plenty 

who have had bad experiences with it, and plenty 

of us who really like the line.

 

Low-cost pure fluoro recommendations, like A-Jay 

said, are relative. But if I were to throw out some 

ideas to you, they'd be Red Label, Bass Pro XPS.

 

For me, I need to keep the line baitmonkey off my 

back. I've got PLENTY of spools of P-Line floroclear 

and YoZuri Hybrid to last me years. Not to mention 

some XPS fluoro.

 

All such lines for me last even longer because I use 

them as leaders only.

I use Red label # 20.. It's fine in soft cover, if rock fishing, you would be better served with a harder FC line...

I use seaguar abrazx for my contact baits and red label for everything else.

Save up $3 and get Invisx. Otherwise, try YZ Hybrid or CXX.

When asked back in February to try Seaguar Red Label & give a review I spooled a reel with 17#. I have not change line since, leaving the same line on for 8 months.

With this setup I throw spinner baits, swim jigs, buzz baits, & rat-l-traps. The line exhibited good knot strength, abrasion resistance, & low coil even after 8 months.

I use Red Label for everything. It's a good combination of performance and price. The Sunline Super FC feels spongy compared to RL, I personally don't like it.

You can't really go wrong with RL. It's not the best, obviously...But I actually prefer it to some of the higher end stuff. If you go through a ton of line like I do it's almost a necessity. Bulk spools of RL hurt a lot less than Sniper or others.
