Bps Carbon Lite Rods....

Has anyone used them? Are they worth the money? Any issues with them? Just lost half of my st croix arsenal due to a freak accident with my paddle board. Ten years of meticulous care and zero broken rods flushed down the drain. I don't think I will be spending 250 on a rod ever again, unless it's a gift, but want a few good performing sticks without breaking the bank. I started out using the bps brand years ago and thought they were ok..... Any experience with bps rods? Are they durable? Sensitive?

Sorry to hear that..that sucks.  Did you lose them?  My carbonlite is about 2 years old and never had issues with it.  Sensitivity is very good.  Also in the same price range are omens which I like a lot, but you should make sure you like the grip because some people find them uncomfortable.  Good luck.

Some are broken. Some are very badly nicked and bruised. I saved 2 avids. All the rest are toast. I looked at he omens and veritas today. Liked the ***. But I have some rewards at bps and they are not sold at bps near me. Glad to hear the carbon lite has done well for you. Gonna hopefully pick up three this week and rebuild slowly as they run them on sale. Cannot see the benifet in me spending more than sale price for them. Especially with what just happened to my premo collection. Hopefully they will serve me fine.

If you wanted to save a little more, I'd give the bionic blades a look. I have the white micro guide version in a spinning model (7' medium fast) and it is a solid performer with good sensitivity.

As I've always said the Carbonlite is a very good rod for the price point. I have over 8 and all have served me well and had no issues. I do take good care of my equipment but these rod's have held well. I'm going to be getting more for sure

The carbonlite is a very good rod. As was said above you should also check out the extreme rods. They go on sale for $69 every year and are good quality rods.

I'm a big fan of the Carbonlites. Have a spinning 

and a casting model. They are exceedingly light 

and worth the money, especially when on sale!

 

Their warranty on the rods - in the first year - is 

pretty awesome, too. No questions asked returns.

Do a search on here on the Carbonlites and you will find a ton of posts on them.  I have seven and really like them.

I have 3, the oldest being about 4 years old and no problems. Catch 'em on sale, even better. No offense to anyone who has the Extremes or Bionic Blades (regular, non micro), I've had all 3 and for prefer the Carbon Lite.
