Super User Catch and Grease Posted October 28, 2014 Author Super User Posted October 28, 2014 Details? Type, color, presentation, conditions, etc... Surface water temp was 65 and it was partly cloudy with 5-10mph winds. Water was more clear than what it normally is (it was around 3-4ft or better). The fish seem to be around grass still but the areas with a mixture of timber and grass seem to be producing the best. Started the day with a 1/4oz black and blue SK swim jig and couldn't get a bite, I switched to a 3/8oz hack attack jig and swam it through some cypress trees with grass alittle slower and father down and started loading the boat. All the good fish were caught on a 3/8oz black and blue hack attack jig with a full sized watermelon red flake rage craw trailer. I was swimming it at a moderate speed with some pumps and pauses, ripping it out of grass occasionally. It was a great day! Quote
boostr Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Caught a few on the Black/Blue Hack Attack, just never swam it usually just flip it. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 This is a great time of year for horizontal moving baits. Swim jigs, spinners and jerk/crank baits each shine in certain conditions. 1 Quote

I like the hack attack when I'm swimming a jig through the thicker stuff, I haven't tried a whole lot of jigs that are actual "swim jigs" Quote
riverbasser13 Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Way to go, I need to figure this swim jig out, it looks Like a great technique Quote
