Just lost my last lipless crankbait.... so sad.

What colors should I buy my next set in? I'm thinking of a silver/chrome, red craw, and firetiger.

in the Red Eye series.   Red Craw, Chili Craw or Tomato .  Sexy Shad, Pearl. Blue Gill

Those are really the only lipless I use because they're fish magnets.

Silver & black, gold & black, silver & blue, firetiger, with those 4 you ahve everything covered, of course The BaitMonkey will tell you it ain´t enough and make you purchase a lot of different colors. BTW, many moons ago when Heddon manufactured the Sonic/Super Sonic series they had this really bright yellow that for whatever reason was a very good color to have.

XR-50 (One Knockers are my favorite). Chrome/Blue (Foxy Momma close), Foxy Lady, and Rayburn Red will cover pretty much any condition you run into. I probably have every color they make and have caught fish on all of them. I think its more about this loud obnoxious thing flying by that the fish have to kill and eat than color. But we all have our confidence colors.

I probably throw the Chrome/Blue more than any other.

Chrome gold blue gill pumpkin seed and red craw all work good for me

Chrome blue, chrome black, craw patterns for pre-spawn in orange/red, something with chartruese in it, and then a firetiger, bluegill color...I also do well with gold and have a few gold spots with barely any paint left on them that I would not trade for anything. On cloudy days I find Gold to be killer anywhere I go. The Rippin Rap in gold is a great Lipless as it has a ton of flash and falls with a nice shimmy like the Red eye shad....Also check out the Sebile flatt shad suspending versions, they can be fished over grass as long as you hvae 6" of water and they need better hooks, but I put a short shank on front and a t3 treble on back and it is amazing where you can get this lure to go and it has flat sides witout rattles so it is great all year round, and the glitter liquid inside is effective, I would say that is my favorite lipless crank in the 77 su model, gives fish a new look and not overbearing with sound as many times fish will hit the Flat Shad suspending or sinking when they won't touch a one knocker, low pitch, or high pitch.

If you like to yo-yo a trap, the Yo-zuri vibe and Red eye shad are good choices for a slow shimmy on the drop and the Vibe has higher pitch then most others in that category. The Clackin rap is good if you want a gliding fall after ripping through weeds but it has 0 action as far as a wobble or shake, It sounds trivial but I usually am most concerned with action on the fall as I rarely just burn a trap....Reaction Strike makes a good lure that has a nice action for the price point, just awful hooks.

Red eye shads are the only ones I have used. I have really only ever used metallic tennessee shad color but had very good luck. One side was completely white after a couple of fish so the finish was not durable on mine. Fish did not care at all as I caught them on the same lure all day.

Also I think this is my first post!!

I've always had good luck on chrome/blue back in any water clarity

I have a bunch of lipless cranks from a bunch of different brands and as far as color goes, chrome/blue back seems to work in every brand that has that color and it works from clear water to stained water and everywhere in between. The only time I use painted colors is when smallmouths are present and even then I only use them in the Xcalibur one knockers, the 2 best colors for me are lemon-lime and Tilapia, I don't know why they just are. I got 45 Xcalibur one knockers and I have at least one of every color but most of them sit, dingy water lemon-lime, clear or lightly stained Tilapia, and aside for those baits, chrome/blue back.

In The Red Eyes I almost always use Bleeding Gizzard Shad. My new Favorite lipless has to be the Spro Aruku Shad in either Wild Shiner or Cell Mate

I'm a Red Eye Shad man. I roll with three colors. Albino craw, Chili Craw, and Japanese shad

Silver blue back/ orange belly trap. And firetiger trap. I have a good collection of rattlebaits but i don't have any red eye shads. Seems like they are a favorite. As a matter of fact I have avoided strike king crankbaits for along time. They used to be badly tuned and cheaply constructed.

SK Red Eye Shad are my favorites, in Sexy Shad, Chartreuse Sexy Shad, chrome/blue back and some kind of red or orange craw.

Well I now have a plethora of colors to choose from! I'll probably go with Brown Shad, Firetiger, Gold Chrome and Black Chrome.

I also can get Sebile Action First Seekers for $3.50. Any word on these?

I had a 1/4 oz one that I caught so many fish on It was ghost. The only place there was any paint was along the top where its flat. I even had others of the same exact lure and this one still caught them like nothing else. It just had to mojo going for it. It was way up there in contention for the lure that cost the most fish I have ever owned. That thing had caught 250 fish easy on it and that a conservative guess. I let a friend borrow it against my better judgement but he said not to worry had he braid on and could bend them out if he got hung. Guess what :( It was a sad day.
