Super User Senko lover Posted October 24, 2014 Super User Posted October 24, 2014 Who is your favorite person to fish with? I love fishing with my Grandpa, but if I had to choose anybody it would be my brother, because we learned (and are still learning) the ropes of bass fishing together. We really enjoy fishing together, trading lures, and exaggerating the size of the fish we catch. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted October 24, 2014 Super User Posted October 24, 2014 Me, myself and I. So quiet and peaceful. Don't get me wrong ... I enjoy my fishing buddies but nothing beats the peacefulness of fishing alone to me. 8 Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted October 24, 2014 Author Super User Posted October 24, 2014 Yeah, I hear you. I enjoy that too. But I like fishing with someone who you can joke with and strike out with and land the catch of a lifetime with. After all, if your buddy wasn't there when you caught your PB, who would believe how big it was? 1 Quote
skeeter1980 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I know that you said one person, but I have two.I enjoy fishing with my son,and my grandson.I fish with a few other guys, but nothing is better than watching my son and his son bonding together, like me and my son did. 1 Quote

Super User Darren. Posted October 24, 2014 Super User Posted October 24, 2014 I like fishing with my sons, but mostly one at a time, LOL. Then there's my one fishing buddy, but we don't fish often together anymore. I go it alone 98% of the time simply because it is an enjoyable escape for me, and the times I get out are not conducive to other people with "normal" working/schooling hours. Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted October 24, 2014 Super User Posted October 24, 2014 I fish quite a bit by myself...especially now that I'm gettin a bit healther. I hook up the ol boat...ask the good Lord to join me and give me peace and off I go. I find that even though I enjoy fishing with others it's easy to be disapointed when you feel like you have to entertain or wait for them. Guess I'm gettin old and cranky!! Tight Lines 2 Quote
RF813 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 My Son. (See my avatar) When he catches one, it's better than me catching one.......And he's beating me in size on two types of fish this year. Haha. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted October 24, 2014 Super User Posted October 24, 2014 Definitely my dad... any chance I get Quote
joefish Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Used to be my Dad, but since he has passed on I still feel his presence in the boat when I fish alone 98% of the time. 3 Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted October 24, 2014 Super User Posted October 24, 2014 I like fishing with my grandpa but I'll fish with anyone as long as I know them, they aren't a jerk, and they have common sense... Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted October 24, 2014 Super User Posted October 24, 2014 My dad when he was still alive. My favorite persons to fish with are guys that share the same level of intensity as I do. The more passionate they are about fishing the better. That way we all learn from each other. 2 Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Nothing beats fishing with Dad. Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 24, 2014 Super User Posted October 24, 2014 A guy in my bass club by the name of Alan Hall. Great guy and a fantastic bass fisherman. And his girl friend is a very nice person, too. Quote
Tim Kelly Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 My dog. He's a pain in the ass and is very good at telling me where the fish were, but he makes me laugh and he's more intense about watching the line than I am! 2 Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted October 24, 2014 Super User Posted October 24, 2014 My life long fishing buddy Mike passed away a few years ago from ALS. I haven't found anyone to fill that gap since, and some of the guys I've fished with might think I'm nuts because I always retell fish stories beginning with "Mike and I used to....." 2 Quote

reb67 Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Believe it or not my wife. We have been fishing together for many years, how ever this year we have really stepped it up we fish at lease one to two evening a week when I get off work and just about ever Sunday. One of the funny things is my wife always had two rods on the boat and made fun of me for having five on the boat. Guess how many she has ready to go now, that's right five at any given time. 1 Quote
Super User Shane J Posted October 25, 2014 Super User Posted October 25, 2014 Big O, easily. I have learned so much from fishing with him, plus he's one heck of a fun guy to hang out with. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted October 25, 2014 Super User Posted October 25, 2014 My older brother my mentor passed away. I miss fishing and hunting with him. Now my oldest son and his wife take me fishing. Otherwise I go alone before I got sick. If I'm not with family I don't go lately. Quote
