*Hank Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Looking for a cheap cranking rod and was wondering how this rod preformed? Quote
ABW Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I have the old black and red one with the EVA split grip. I like mine alot, and I use it to throw squarebills and ocassionally a rattle trap. No problems with mine, and I've had it for a couple months now. I'm sure the new model is good too. Powell always makes quality rods. Quote
TMPR 111 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 The Powell Inferno is the most underrated rod on the market. I use a 7'1" MH MF... It's not too stiff and I do not lose fish. Quote
EmersonFish Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I have a Powell Diesel, 7', MH, CB rod I got off of TW for $58 bucks. Decent little rod for squarebills, semi-shallow to medium divers. Too short for my taste, but darn sure worth $58, if you can get one at that price. Quote
*Hank Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 Thanks for the advice guys! Sounds like a good rod for the money i will be sure to get one:) Quote
