hey guys finally buying a rod I've been talking about today or tomorrow(gotta get a casting one first cuz broke my casting rod boat swinging 2lb.totally my fault).gonna get either a fenwick hmg or falcon bucoo(i'll decide later)if I go fenwick I'm getting the 7'med hvy.but I don't know what model to consider for the falcon.i'm looking at the 6'6"med hvy, 6'10"hvy,7'med hvy or the 7'hvy.i'll use it mostly for 1/4-3/8oz t rigs,1/2oz frogs 3/8oz jigs&spinnerbaits.which falcon model would you recommend for that?

It really depends a lot not on the weight of the lure but in where you do most of your fishing, cover type and density is very important when choosing the rod. In most cases, in most places a MH rod is practically all around, well to put you an example, in most of my everyday lake a MH is all you need, but there are áreas where going in with a MH rod is practically idiotic, it doesn´t have enough power to pull the fish away from the woody cover. Some ponds I fish are choked with tule and you have to pull the fish from it then a H-XH rod is what you need ( a pool cue in other words ).

The bucco 7'MH is a great all around rod.  Fishes all of what you outlined really well although if you're fishing in really heavy cover with a frog might want to look at a heavier rod.  I have 2 and have used them for light duty punching (3/8 to 1/2oz) and frog fishing, but fished a pond with heavy grass and the first fish I hooked was a nice 4lb right when it hit the water.  Rod didn't really have enough to pull that fish out at the end of the cast (probably 120ft away).  Had to go get a heavier rod.  But all around it's a great rod for most applications.
