Super User Jrob78 Posted October 17, 2014 Super User Posted October 17, 2014 They are cutting them down to the first 2 days for 2015 and out of the FWCup. In 2016 they will be done away with altogether. I know it sucks for the co-anglers but I'm sure the pros love it. They shouldn't have to share water with someone in the back of the boat. It might set up more marshall type opportunities too. http://www.flwoutdoors.com/fishing-articles/156587/2015-tour-rules-and-entry-dates/#.VEGQMUpX-uZ Quote
Brian6428 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I've always wondered, what are the real differences between co-anglers and boaters in FLW? Obviously in BASS the boater actually owns the boat, but in FLW it is just a loaner boat from FLW. What dictates which one they are? Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted October 18, 2014 Super User Posted October 18, 2014 Well.. That's to bad, the sport continues to evolve though. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted October 18, 2014 Super User Posted October 18, 2014 Interesting... No big deal to me, I just enjoy the shows with or without co-anglers. No disrespect to co's.... Quote
"BRB" Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 If I read it right only in the FWC there will be no co-angler right? Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted November 4, 2014 Author Super User Posted November 4, 2014 If I read it right only in the FWC there will be no co-angler right? For 2015. In 2016 they will be gone all together. Quote
"BRB" Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 "Another change that many pros have long desired has also been implemented. In 2015, co-anglers will only compete on the first two days of each FLW Tour qualifier and the Forrest Wood Cup. Then, starting in 2016, the Forrest Wood Cup will be a pro-only event." This is from the article you posted.it just says the Forrest wood Cup will be pro-only in 2016. Does not say the tour. I really wanted to fish the tour as a co-angler. I guess it might have to be next year. If your right. Quote

The other site either got it wrong or I misunderstood completely. My mistake. I will see if I can find anything else about it but this is straight from FLW so I'm sure it's right. Sorry about that. CDMeyer Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 It is about time, they are the NFL of bass fishing ( along with B. A. S . S elites ) they should be in the boat with no competition we will now see what these guys have to offer Quote
Tim Kelly Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 The FLW guys fish in boats provided for them, like the Major league guys do? I didn't realize that. Quote
zeth Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 This is not true. Cutting down to 2 days yes. Cutting out all together in 2016 NO! This is bad information. Quote
