basscatcher8 Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Hey guys i was wondering if you have seen this. The other day i was melting some lead in my hot pot and poured a jig head and went to work on the jig i just poured. The pot was still on because i was still gonna pour more heads. When i came back to my pot it was covered in what looked like mold. It was a bunch of green bulps that were growing in the pot. I tried scraping it all off but it would all come back on the top of the lead quickly. Unfortunatly i couldnt find the camera to show you guys what was happening, but has anybody had anything like this happen before? Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I would say its just crud in the lead. I have the same thing happen with wheel weights. Quote
basscatcher8 Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 Yeah thats what has me confused cause i bought this lead from BPS so there shouldnt be anything in it, but i must have got the one that did lol Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Its almost impossible to get all the crap out of lead. They probably buy that from a guy down the road that makes ignots for them. Quote
