Thanks for going to serve our country.

What do you want to do in the Navy?

I spend a good bit of time in the Navy. I went all over and did two tours in the desert. ( iraq and bahrain).

I was IS1(AW) when i got out. The would be Intelligence Specialist 1st Class with Air Warfare designation. I spent most of my career as a russian submarine expert but then 9/11 went down and i ended up doin counter terror

I did four years a Navy Journalist and really enjoyed my job.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone doing a hitch.  At the very least, you'll travel, meet and work with people from all over the country, get paid to receive training and work experience, and have a positive thing to add to your resume.  I grew up in a very small town and it helped me learn "what's out there.'

Tight lines,

Bob

My buddy did that.....didn't work out for him because he started stealing cars on base after 6months. Haven't talked to him in almost 10years.

I would try to get the most technical job you can, it doesn't hurt getting paid to learn a skill

Retired in 2010 after 27 years.  All in supply.  I know little about LE, but I'd be glad to discuss anything more Navy-generic.

Join. Do your best. Get veterans benefits. Place all insurance with USAA and save money while building up a savings account. Join the American Legion after you get out. See the world. Meet lots of great guys in the Navy.

And thank you for considering serving your country.

I was in the Army in Viet Nam as a company commander. Still can't figure out how they missed me on three occasions when they had me dead to rights.

Gung Ho!

Whatever you do, don't ask Hunter Biden for Navy advice. :hammerblows:

Didn't he fail a drug test or something and get kicked out lol
