starweldpro16 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Hey,I picked up a new Citica 200G6 today. Whats up with the little bag of what appear to be extra weights? Being a different color, are they a different weight? The paper work that came with it is pretty sad. Thanks! Quote
DelcoSol Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Those are extra brake blocks. The different colors are for different brake force. Quote
Solution KritterGitter Posted October 12, 2014 Solution Posted October 12, 2014 From Shimano....... Why are there more than one color of break weights for my Baitcasting VBS system? Shimano makes two different break weights; Heavy (Black, Grey, or Green in color) and Light (Red, Blue, and Clear in color). Most of the new reels are shipped with the light break weights on the reel, and the heavy break weights in packaging in the box. If the light break weights don’t provide adequate spool stopping power, change them simply by pulling them off of the spool and replace them with the heavier weights. Quote
Super User Raul Posted October 12, 2014 Super User Posted October 12, 2014 If they are heavier, ( you´ll have to make a comparison with the ones already installed in the reel ) then you´ll find those helpful when fishing heavier baits ( like 1 oz + baits ) . Quote
