Mainebass1984 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Make my own cover using bucket and sprinkler tubing drill 5/8 holes for tubing fill with quickcrete some i use lid some i don't Every think about using more natural cover like tree or bush instead of a bucket and plastic tubing ? Quote
tatertester Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Several studies I've read say that artificial cover is more effective than natural.....Does seem strange tho? Quote
Lunker5 Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 The problem with natural cover is how long it lasts.i use to use natural cover took a week or more for bass to hold using a bucket they hold within couple hours don't know why plus doesn't decompose.theirs a group that uses cinder blocks and tubing they call them spider blocks on internet Quote
Mainebass1984 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I have been fishing the same brush piles for years. How long they last definitely depends on what you use. I have caught fish the day after putting a brush pile in. If fish are there they will use it. 1 Quote
