bassguytom Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I picked up a couple of these bags on sale and have never used them before. What are some of the best ways you guys use these? I'm thinking mojo rig or wacky post front for a smaller profile bait. Thanks for the info. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted October 9, 2014 Super User Posted October 9, 2014 I picked up a couple of these bags on sale and have never used them before. What are some of the best ways you guys use these? I'm thinking mojo rig or wacky post front for a smaller profile bait. Thanks for the info. I've rigged them wacky, and mojo. Actually haven't used them in a while, though. They were "fairly" effective, but not enough to displace my Zoom Finesse worms... Quote
5fishlimit Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I've used them on a dropshot and done ok. Quote
travis23 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Texas rigged. There is a couple guys in my club that kill it with these when no one else is catching anything. Quote
Super User gardnerjigman Posted October 9, 2014 Super User Posted October 9, 2014 Weed less with a nail weight. They kill around weed beds Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted October 9, 2014 Super User Posted October 9, 2014 Carolina Rig X3 ... This is the best tactic to use a "french fry" type soft plastic (zoom centipede) . Quote
Primus Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Weed less with a nail weight. They kill around weed beds Rig sideways with a 2/0 owner offset hook and stick the nailweight in the tail of the bait it will glide down toward the fish. Great way to get a lot of bites postspawn . It also works well on a mojo rig . Quote
Super User Raul Posted October 9, 2014 Super User Posted October 9, 2014 How many ways you know to rig a senko ? well, those plus some more, one of my favorite ways is Split Shot rigged nose hooked. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted October 9, 2014 Super User Posted October 9, 2014 Fantastic mojo rig and carolina rig bait, my go to for that. Especially good in the summer fished through grass when it's hot out and the bite is tough. Just a steady drag a few feet, then pause, and sometimes a couple short twitches. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 19, 2014 Global Moderator Posted October 19, 2014 Killer on a shakyhead Quote
pbizzle Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 The only way I've fished them has been weightless. I seem to do better with them wacky rigged, but texas rigged has also gotten bit. I've never caught anything over 8" on them though. Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted October 22, 2014 Super User Posted October 22, 2014 Curious how YOU rig a centipede straight up & down with the ribs on top OR rig it on the flat side ? Quote
WillJ Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 shakey head is the only way ive used it but i think i would use them almost anyway you would use a senko Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted October 23, 2014 Super User Posted October 23, 2014 What ever you do, don't peg a 1/4oz tungsten sinker to it's nose and flip it in the same places you would usually use a jig or creature bait when that bite is off. Quote
slimshad Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I like a split shot mini carolina rig. I always threw them on spinning rods too. I have bags and bags of these. Might put some in the flea market this weekend. Quote
