Super User Sam Posted October 1, 2014 Super User Posted October 1, 2014 Did I miss this on the Forum? Seems PRADCO has purchased Bandit Lures. Just sharing with you all. http://www.lurenet.com/blog/bandit-lures-family Quote

Rangerphil Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I better go out and buy some of my favorite colors before they are gone! Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 1, 2014 Global Moderator Posted October 1, 2014 I better go out and buy some of my favorite colors before they are gone! I have one color bandit that is like a carp color that is the fish catchingest little bait that I can't find anymore. I found this one in the first place but I get nervous fishing it because it's been such a great bait and they don't have another color even close. Quote

I like their Bandit 100 Sexy Shad and was thinking of heading to BPS and Green Top to scoff as many as I could. I have one favorite Bandit 100 that works all the time. I only throw it in tournaments. I am also seeking Zoom Green Pumpkin Magic Super Chunks which I can't find and they are no longer made. Isn't it a pain when you have only one or two of your favorite baits and you can't find them anymore. Also, the article did not say PRADCO is shutting down all Bandit production. Seems like the Bandits will still be produced. Hopefully. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 1, 2014 Global Moderator Posted October 1, 2014 I can't see any way they'd put an end to such a popular brand. Hopefully they keep them just like they are, just start putting the PRADCO name on the back of them. Quote

Michael F Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Wonder if they'll bring back the series 400 Quote
bassin is addicting Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 did i interpret correctly that they are shutting down the current production facility and moving it? if so, i hope they don't change anything..they are great baits for the money... Quote
Super User Munkin Posted October 2, 2014 Super User Posted October 2, 2014 Wonder if they'll bring back the series 400 I know a place that has them in stock. Allen Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted October 2, 2014 Super User Posted October 2, 2014 I hope they keep the same colors. Quote
primetime Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Tough to beat a Bandit 100-300 or even the Footloose wake bait for the Money, I get all mine at Dick's since they apparently do not sell all that well and are on the clearance rack a few times per year. I probably have more Bandits than any other crank in my box of square bills. They work as good as many (not all) of the much more Expensive lures. I doubt Pradco will modify anything, probably just stamp the package and sell them on lure net with all the other lures they make. The average angler doesn't know who pradco is, and I only say that because a local tackle shop had an add for 1/2 off all pradco lures, and they were upset when I started grabbing all the Bomber Long A's, Packs of Yum, and Booyah Spinnerbaits, Smithwick Rogues.....I wasn't allowed to touch the Heddon Zara Spooks or super spooks...They thought it was Cotton Cordell and Arbogast.... I might be able to help you out. They use to have a store off interstate 55 at the Sardis exit and they closed it, when they did they put everything on sale and me and my partner bought everything they had. this was back in the early 80's and they were a dollar each and they marked them down to a quarter. I have boxes of them. Quote

I have boxes of them. It's very similar to Strike King's baby carp color. The 100 and 200 is the sizes I'd be looking for. I'll have to see if I can remember to get a picture. It's reddish brown on the back and yellow/gold on the sides and belly. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted October 5, 2014 Super User Posted October 5, 2014 I like the original ones since they are more consistant in quality. No so many that can't be turned to run correctly. The ones with the "Assembled in China" sticker on the back of the package are the worse lot. Quote
Slade House Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I have one favorite Bandit 100 that works all the time. I only throw it in tournaments. I'll spoil this one , its the "splatter back" color. I spent 10 years throwing only that lure on the Potomac River and other VA lakes , and it was far above and beyond anything else i could throw. Quote
