The above link leads to a Abu Garcia Vengeance rod seemingly on sale; but the price seems a little too good to be true and the seller is Berkley, not Abu. Have any of you guys checked this out or bought rods from Berkley? The rod is two-piece, but Abu offers this same model on their website for $50.00. I'd appreciate any help.

Abu Garcia makes some great rods in my opinion. This just one of those great deals you find every now and then on the web.

A couple things. Like Berkley and many other makers, Abu Garcia will offer their products to stores to give it a store brand spacific to that store. Wal-Mart does this with ther Abu Garcia rods. The have your normal Black max and Silver Max combos, but also have the Vigilante, and from all the specs I have seen match the Vengeance. (Even though Abu Garcia does not offer the Vigilante on their website)

But that doesn't seem to be the case on rod you posted. It is just a deal and Wal-Mart has the same offer. (Link Below)

So if this is what you are looking for get it while you can.

Abu and Berkley are both subsidiaries of Pure Fishing.

This one.

Also pay close attention to the cost of shipping. Rods usually cost extra (maybe not this one because it is a two piece) so make sure you are still getting a good deal. Sometimes the shipping costs wind up negating the discount and it is just cheaper to walk into a store and pay full price.
