guitarglynn1 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 If you would like, I would take that bet. Obviously not a sure thing but beating Dallas in Dallas a week after losing Cruz for the year and trying to throw Beckham/Parker in that role or trying to scheme it...and Jennings still out, is just going to be ugly. The giants are desperate...they just signed Ogletree for "depth". i should add i believe beckham is a crazy talent that will exceed Cruz if he can stay healthy but OC guru Macadoo is even going to struggle /w this pickle. The cowgirls defense has been camouflaged by their running game. As long as they can keep running it like they have they can keep their D from getting completely exposed. Their offensive line took its first hit as well. Parker has taken the most reps in the slot so he may get the lions share but they can mix it up. Ruben needs to step up and he is capable. Giants are going to remind everybody that the cowgirls are scrubs. 2 Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted October 18, 2014 Super User Posted October 18, 2014 I have a strange feeling that the Giants will either win a close one or put a big time scare into Dallas.... Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted October 18, 2014 Super User Posted October 18, 2014 Dallas should win by double digits. It's the NFL though, the Giants and Cowboys are divisional rivals and always play each other close. Plus, if the Giants lose, they will be in a pretty deep hole, it's as close to a must win as you can have in week 7. I fully expect Dallas to win but I expect NY to put up a good fight. That said, if things go badly for the Giants early on, it could turn into a blow out, like last week against Philly. The NFC East is clearly a 2 team race. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 18, 2014 Super User Posted October 18, 2014 If the giants win it isn't a two team race anymore..... Quote

But they won't play that poorly every week. Look at last night. A team who is as mistake prone as any team you'll see at 1-5 out played the Pats in New England. Only the Jets could lose last nights game. In fact I don't think a team has controlled the ball that much and rushed for that many yards and lost the game in the history of the NFL. That is the NFL today. These teams all suck.. Do I believe the Giants have zero chance against the cowgirls? Of course not. Both teams are a bit beat up. The Cruz injury is big but Eli is capable of spreading the ball around if he has time. Dallas is beat up at the LB position so our pathetic O line might be able to provide some protection if they decide to play this week. It all starts and ends at the O line for dallas. Their O line has been dominant. They lost free and how that impacts them we shall see. And dallas has as many offensive weapons as any team. But the same people who said dallas would be lucky to win 5 games now have this team punching their tickets to the SB after not even 2 quarters of the season. Nobody and I mean nobody thought dallas would be even remotely close to good this year. Now after 6 games the band wagon is over flowing.lol Will I be surprised if the gmen lose? No I would not. Would I be surprised if the cowgirls lost? I would not. Quote

Would I be surprised if the cowgirls lost? I would not. Free was literally the worst player on that offense of line. And he's not bad by any means he was just very replaceable I don't think their offense of line takes any help whatsoever. Eli is good at spreading the ball around..... to the other teams defense. If you had cruz, A healthy Jennings, and a little bit more competency from Randall and his route running, plus by the sounds of it the Giants secondary has resorted to starting a rookie or two rookies I don't remember but that's probably going to be disastrous. Who knows though the Giants can surprise people Quote
guitarglynn1 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Eli has been very turn over prone. I've been very critical of him the past few years. But at the same time our O line has been an unmitigated disaster. In the NFL a bad O line will make any QB look bad. Earlier this season we saw Brady looking very ordinary. People were saying he was shot. They have used I believe 6 different starting O line combinations and since it has stabilized Brady has looked like Brady. Eli can turn the ball over, but he can also be great. He's gotta have time the throw it though which he has not had a lot of in recent years Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 18, 2014 Super User Posted October 18, 2014 no matter how replaceable a guy is on the offensive line, that is not a plug and play position. It takes a few weeks for the players to begin to gel.....I am surprised that dallas is only giving 6.5 points. IF i was a betting man, I wouldn't touch this game with someone else's money. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted October 18, 2014 Super User Posted October 18, 2014 I dont care if dallas runs the table..they still suck and wont win more than one playoff game. The coach and qb are not big game people. 1 Quote

craww Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Good game. Dallas should have won and they did. Giants had alot to play for and showed up. Dez bryant molested those corners. Williams and Romo have a good repoire going and Escobar finally got some redzone looks. If not for witten he could easily be a top 5-10 TE. His blocking is coming along. Scott Linehan has alot of weapons at his disposal. They are a hard team to scheme against for sure Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 20, 2014 Super User Posted October 20, 2014 At home against an average team Dallas almost lost which is there MO this season. It also is looking like that win against seattle may not have been as big as originally thought........ Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 20, 2014 Super User Posted October 20, 2014 My 1-5 fantasy team scores more points than the skins. Now we have the same record, lol. Dallas won, and I beat the #1 team in my league. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted October 20, 2014 Super User Posted October 20, 2014 I for one am thankful that the Giants showed up to play. Those d**n fumbles, the Dallas run game and Dez were just too much to overcome for them yesterday. Fun game to watch but at least it was competitive unlike the Eagles "game". LOL Quote
guitarglynn1 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 How do you lose that game at home last night against a god awful team with a QB playing that his own teammates probably didn't even know he was on the roster?? Quote
