Super User flyfisher Posted September 30, 2014 Super User Posted September 30, 2014 As much as i hate the cowboys, if they keep running murray and he can keep hold of the football, it makes them a much better team. their offensive line is very good and young. the defense, well we will see if last week was the defense or the saints just having an off night. 1 Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I liked the Cowboys until the Jerry the buffoon Jones came along. I was and am a diehard Bears fan but I appreciated good football teams - old school Rams, 49er's, Oakland, Steelers, Vikings...... Before Staubach you had Craig Morton who was not exactly a chump. In those days you had Bob Hays, Bob Lilly, Preston Pearson, Herb Atterly, Mel Renfro, Robert Newhouse, Lary Cole, Calvin Hill, Jethro Pugh, Leroy JordanEd Too tall Jones, Charlie Waters and a whole butt load of great talent! Heck at one point Dallas had both Lance Alworth & Bob Hayes, Don't forget about my beloved Ditka Da coach).! Quote

The saints arw having an off year more so than just at DAL. Rob ryan is a god awful defensive coach(down near the bottom) and should have been out of the league years ago. I agree though, DAL has probably unarguably the best off line in the league and if Murray staus healthy, they will win games. Dallas will be 4-1 after beating houston this weekend. I didnt see them going better than 8-8 preseason. They are hurting on def though Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 14, 2014 Super User Posted October 14, 2014 I see the chatter has been quiet. Something happen this weekend? LOL, are Philly and Dallas going to bring it in the NFC east? Man, I hate Philly. 1 Quote

LOL, are Philly and Dallas going to bring it in the NFC east? Man, I hate Philly. It looks like it is going to be philly and dallas for sure....dallas may have the edge though because their schedule is a bit easier, especially the next 5 games. Thanksgiving day game could be very very important in who takes home the NFC east title. I just want the Eagles to get their offensive line back to healthy. Last week they seemed to be jelling and it showed with how they were able to run the ball and mix it up more on offense. I just hope Sproles isn't out tool ing as he has been a great spark off the bench... Oh, and I hate Dallas, the redskins and the Giants Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted October 14, 2014 Super User Posted October 14, 2014 Looks like Sproles will be back for their next game. They have a bye next weekend. I can't stand the Eagles and man was that game painful for me to watch. Especially when Cruz went out. Just utterly painful. Compound that with a dominant performance for Dallas against the Seahawks and I had the lowest of lows this football week. Go Giants ?!?! 1 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 15, 2014 Super User Posted October 15, 2014 I thought that by now the Giants players would learn to keep their mouth shut. Seems like every time they fly off the handle and talk a lot of trash they get creamed. Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 15, 2014 Super User Posted October 15, 2014 Yep. Cowboys are looking strong. But it is a marathon and not a sprint so stay tuned. Long way to go before the playoffs. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 15, 2014 Super User Posted October 15, 2014 I would not be surprised one bit if the Giants beat the Cowboys next week. Cowboys coming off a big win and Giants coming off a demoralizing defeat. Quote

Cowboys coming off a big win and Giants coming off a demoralizing defeat. If you would like, I would take that bet. Obviously not a sure thing but beating Dallas in Dallas a week after losing Cruz for the year and trying to throw Beckham/Parker in that role or trying to scheme it...and Jennings still out, is just going to be ugly. The giants are desperate...they just signed Ogletree for "depth". i should add i believe beckham is a crazy talent that will exceed Cruz if he can stay healthy but OC guru Macadoo is even going to struggle /w this pickle. Super User flyfisher Posted October 15, 2014 Super User Posted October 15, 2014 I am surprised the spread isn't any higher though....dallas is giving 5.5 Quote
ColdSVT Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I love how the cowboys fans are coming out in droves...dont worry Romo will choke as usual lol My bears suck sooo lol 1 Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted October 15, 2014 Super User Posted October 15, 2014 Skins? Are they an NFL team? Where's Mike D from Lunkerville? I want to talk trash. technically, yes from a play perspective, not really they are the Jaguars of the mid atlantic and the definition of dysfunctional well besides the cowboys Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted October 15, 2014 Super User Posted October 15, 2014 And what's the deal with Randle...he couldn't afford cologne and underwear with his 600k salary? sometime these athletes amaze me with their level of stupidity 2 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 15, 2014 Super User Posted October 15, 2014 The Cowboys used to be the best team you bailed out of jail. Not so much anymore. 1 Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted October 15, 2014 Super User Posted October 15, 2014 that is a good one right there..... Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted October 15, 2014 Super User Posted October 15, 2014 i think you forgot to factor in the signing bonus lol no idea which figure is right. His signing bonus was allegedly 188.5k but 3 different places report his base for this year is 505k, 495k, and 408k. Perhaps he gets some street cred incentive in there somewhere. It is dallas..
