Jd_Phillips_Fishin Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 The Cowboys sure did look good tonight for the first 3 quarters. I never would have guessed it would be 31-3 going into the 4th. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted September 29, 2014 Super User Posted September 29, 2014 Still watching? Go Saints! Quote

Super User F14A-B Posted September 29, 2014 Super User Posted September 29, 2014 Cowboys looked good tonight. Romo looked better.. It feels like another crap year for the saints. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted September 29, 2014 Super User Posted September 29, 2014 Other than a little stretch in the 4th quarter, the Saints just never found their rhythm tonight. I don't know what that fake punt was all about, that cost them any shot they had at getting back in the game. 1 Quote
Jd_Phillips_Fishin Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 I wish Dallas would play like this all the time... they have 1 or 2 games were they look unbeatable then they go back to their normal ways. Quote
craww Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 It was a good win. They're gonna have a really good line for the next half a decade or more. Their better than folks think and getting healthier. Romo is what he is, but is getting mentally and physically sharper each week. Interested to see what Demarcus Lawrence brings once he comes back. Defense could use his speed of the edge. Quote

Defense could use his speed of the edge. I agree with you. Romo has finally started looking more like himself the last couple of weeks. If Murray can stay healthy and they keep running the ball, it will keep some of the pressure off of Romo's shoulders. I can't wait to see what Demarcus Lawrence brings when he comes back. Spencer and Melton are getting healthy enough to play and Rolando McClain has been awesome. I just hope his heart stays in the game, he can be a difference maker. It's hard to be optimistic as a Cowboy's fan but so far so good. Quote
craww Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I love having McClain out there. Guy tackles like a 500lb Octopus. Covers pretty decent for being close to 260 and is a bull on the blitz. Its early, and he has a past but it looks like they absolutely stole one. I heard an interview where he mentioned his appreciation for Jerry personally reaching out to him, and how he was motivated by it. Hes still young so maybe hes growing up. Sterling Moore also had himself quite a game. Not sure whats up w/Mo yet, even if hes healthy I think Moore is a better player right now and deserves to be on the field, 1st round pick be darned. We've been through it before and Lord knows the league seems to love to treat us to those "playoffs start in December" schedules. The Romo era has humbled me lol and I really try not to get too high and low anymore Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted September 29, 2014 Super User Posted September 29, 2014 They're saying Mo likely tore his ACL but won't know for sure until tomorrow's MRI. He's been terrible though, Moore def deserves the chance to really show what he can do. I just hope it doesn't cost them depth issues going forward. I'm right there with you. I'm really happy they played well today but I won't be surprised if they get blown out next week. I'm hoping that they are developing an identity with the run but wonder if they will stick with it. Years and years of mediocre play tends to keep your optimism at bay. One game at a time but so far so good. 1 Quote

Super User aavery2 Posted September 29, 2014 Super User Posted September 29, 2014 If memory serves, the Cowboys have started the last 2 or 3 seasons off at 2-2 or close. They have finished each of those seasons at about 8 - 8. I hope that them getting back some key players on defense will be enough for them to make a deep run in the playoffs. Quote

Super User J Francho Posted September 30, 2014 Super User Posted September 30, 2014 You drinking the Kool Aid on the 'boys already J? LOL Nope, just a fan. I like a win like anyone else. Bottom line, Ain'ts didn't play well enough to win, Dallas did - that doesn't always happen. The fake punt was a LOL moment. Quote
Fisher-O-men Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Dan Reeves was the O coordinator, Dorsett, Pearson, are some names that come to mind. Ah, so there are some old guys on here! Do the names Lance Alworth and Speedy Duncan ring a bell with anyone? And then there was John Hadl, the quaterback who had the announcers saying "he throws, he looks!" In case anyone is confused I'm talking Chargers of the glory days. I'm a Dallas fan by birth and a Charger fan by transplantation. Quote
