cmoberly Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 You can choose 5 lures, 1 rod, 1 reel and 1 lake/pond/river to fish with all year. What would you choose? I would take a- PB&J 1/2 oz football jig with a Watermelon Seed Bass Assassin Pure Craw trailer Junebug red flake 4" brush hog 3/8 oz black and blue buzzbait w/ clacker Chrome Blue 1/2 oz red eye shad and a chartreuse blue 1/2 oz spinner bait with two willow leaf blades rod- Abu Garcia Veritas reel- Diawa Tatula Lake- Lake Quivera Quote

LunkerFisher Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Hmm...lemme see Senko color 231 Roboworm 6" straight tail white chatterbait, 3/8 oz w/tennessee shad fluke trailer Booyah Pad Crasher Red-head zara spook Rod: this is a tough choice since i would be throwing slop and drop shots...so i'd probably go with the 7' mmf veritas Reel: 2nd gen abu revo sx spooled with 40lb 832. trailers would depend on the bait this wouldnt be ideal for the thick slop with the frog or the dropshot, but i could get away with more open-water frogging and some heavier drop-shotting with a 1/4 oz weight instead of the 1/8oz i ususally throw. EDIT: Forgot to mention that this would all be fished on Kent Lake, MI. Quote
RSM789 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Good question, but I'd likely spend so much time retying that I'd quit for the year out of frustration. Unless I am on a school of fish that is hammering the same lure cast after cast, I rarely make more than 10 casts in a row with the same lure. This is especially true when working structure that I know holds fish, mixing it up every few casts works for me. Can I have 5 rods & reels if they are all the same models? Quote
