Squirmin Wormin Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Has it occurred where you've seen a body of water you thought or figured not to be known for having any big bass that really isn't from other lakes or whatever bodies of water you fish that are known for having big bass, fish etc. than went to just try and fish once and caught a bigger fish you figured not to be in there but is? and is just as big than the other areas of water you're used to getting big bass, fish from. thinking all this time (i didn't think there was one like this in here but found out different). might have underated the body of water but won't again, after the experience that just happened where you didn't expect it too but did, catching that bass or whatever species your fishing for and didn't think to be but is, Quote
Super User geo g Posted September 26, 2014 Super User Posted September 26, 2014 In South Florida there are very few bodies of water that are not connected to the drainage system. We have such violent storms down here, huge pumps control the whole system. Its helps prevent massive flooding during the wet season.. Bass, gators, and every other aquatic life form moves through the entire system from canal to canal and lake to lake. The whole system has bass all through it. Quote

But we do have plenty of ponds and lakes with super stunted fish. I'm jealous! 1 Quote

Fishing should be a chance to release the pressures of daily living. Focus on being out in nature and the tranquility of the experience. If you relax, good things usually happen. Its all about having fun! 1 Quote

Its all about having fun! Thanks geo g, but yes, I was being a smart ***. I don't believe anyone could more enjoy being outside than I do. Sometimes I am fishing four or five days a week. Especially this time of the year. Love the changing of colors. Nothing like Fall to put a Spring in your step. Fall, Spring....get it....lol. Hootie Quote

Hootie Man, I could not agree more. Fall is my favorite time to fish. The fish are the biggest, the weeds aren't gone yet and between the weather and foliage (so pretty in NE right now!) it's impossible to not enjoy yourself simply being outside. Quote
