Craw Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Here's my first couple of attempts at tying my own skirts. I used round rubber, nylon thread and chenille. My tools were a cheap vice and a bobbin. Decided not to use any glue on the wrap. Pouring is my next step but I wanted to take things one step at a time. These heads are Eakin's. So what do you folks think? Any suggestions? Quote
Triton21 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Look great Craw. I like the chenille touch. Kelley Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Try that now with a mix of bucktail and marabou (also, 2 long pieces of peacock hurl in the mix, look just like antenae) Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Wish my tied skirts look like that. After about 10 I gave up. Great tie. Warning, Pouring and jig making is addicting. Quote
