I.rar Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 What holster do you carry your 9c in? Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted September 25, 2014 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted September 25, 2014 A modified Uncle Mikes Sidekick knockoff that I bought at a gun show. As you know, the humidity sucks here and leather or plastic is too sweaty for me. When it's really hot or I'm at work or on the boat, I carry it in a small nylon backpack. The finger extension is a must on the 10+1 mag. It makes it a whole lot easier to find your grip in a hurry. Quote
kickyour_bass Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 Wisconsin carry offers the class free..... I believe. It is four hours. I found a place that rents out guns. 8 $ per hour and I forgot how much for shooting lane plus you buy the bullets there. Quote
Chris S Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I understand. I was thinking that as well. I m not getting a gun just to get a gun and feel badass. Im getting a gun because things are getting crazy here. Taser!!!! 1 Quote

I lucked out on my second holster, an on your 6 designs iwb kydex with a single open clip. Easy on, easy off. No excess material and I didn't have to wait weeks or months to get it. Only a few days. Really worth the $30 I spent and for whatever reason it breaks, it's warrantied for life, iirc. Could you tell me how many rounds you have through your 9c? Any hiccups? I've been on the fence between that and the M&P9c for a double stack compact. Sorry to thread jack, OP. Quote

I only shoot factory loads so that eliminates weak ammo stovepipes. I would recommend it to anyone. Quote
nick76 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I carry the SR9C as well. Probably as many rounds through mine with no problems. My wife has the same gun and she loves her too, no problems either. I have 4 holsters depending on what I am wearing. I like the FOBUS Holster for the cooler months when I can just throw a jacket over it and I don't have to worry about tucking it away. If I am wearing shorts I like to use my Remora Holster and they make it in a waterproof version so the sweat doesn't get to your gun. If I am just wearing slacks or a jeans I like my AlienGear IWB holster. They have a great warranty and several options to choose from. Sorry for the jack. Quote
John G Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I would not skip the CCW course. Not only is it a safety course but we spent two hours going over CCW laws and role playing specific situations. I took the course 15 years ago and again last year with my wife. The last one was only $40 because we are a member at the local gun club and it was well worth it. . Are you aware that as a Veteran, in Florida, you are not required to take the CCW Class? Quote
John G Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 My boss suggested it actually. No other bouncer uses force there. I ve had people threaten me and my life. I'm not saying I would use it. Also wisconsin if you don't drink and you have bar owners permission you can have it This ccw also is beneficial for having mace as well. You have a job as a bouncer which means that you are dealing with drunks and you want to carry a gun! This IMHO, spells disaster for you and the establishment where you work. I think that you should either get a different job or don't carry! 1 Quote
Canyon explorer Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I have a good friend who is a bouncer at a few clubs and he is an active shooter, does the whole tactical shooting competition thing and he said he would never carry on the job even if he was allowed to. I asked him why and he said basically that no matter how good of a bouncer you are, things can go crazy fast and having a gun in the mix is usually a recipe for disaster with the types of crowds at the places he works. Not saying you should do the same, just relaying the information he shared with me.... Your friend is a very smart guy. Quote
