rosewalt Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 great idea Ill give it a try sounds like the price is right Quote
bassnleo Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 kb is one the right track. I just got two 5 gallon buckets of wheel weights, free. The are ok to use, I melt them down first and skim the junk out of the lead then pour ingots that I can drop into my production pot. Quote
jigfisherman Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I get mine from a friend who installs walls in exray rooms they use 1/8 in thick to line the walls with. I get what is left over when they cut it off, its the cleanest lead there is. Quote
Triton21 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I use wheelweight aloy lead for everthing except split shots. It is harder than pure lead and dosen't bend as well as pure lead. Kelley Quote
