ABW Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 How do you guys like to catch your fish? For me I love to fish a jig. They always produce for me, and I have tons of confidence in them. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted September 19, 2014 Super User Posted September 19, 2014 Spinnabait but I catch more fish pitchin. Allen Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted September 19, 2014 Super User Posted September 19, 2014 Topwater is the most fun for me, but far from the most productive. It's a blast seeing a bass (or more lately a northern pike) crush a topwater bait. Quote

Super User Catch and Grease Posted September 19, 2014 Super User Posted September 19, 2014 I love catching bass on square bill crankbaits, its awesome when your reeling it in and a bass hammers your crank so hard your line goes slack... 1 Quote

FirstnameLastname Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Top water is the most fun. Nothing is as good as watching a bass explode on a poper. But the most effective method for me is throwing a shallow diving crankbait. Find a downed tree sitting over a pond and throw them in 4-6 feet of water, it kills bass. They always hit either close to the submerged branches of the tree "perfect ambush points for bass" or in the shadows of trees on the bank "cooler water in the shade". Quote
mjseverson24 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 T-rigs and jigs are probabily my favorite baits to fish especially in deeper water, but honestly i like to do everything except C-rig ( i do it i just dont like to ) spybaiting, and dragging a tube, oh and I dont like big swimbaits either, as pike and muskie love to tear them up. Hogsticker Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Shallow jerkbait. Suspended animation in clear water. I fish it year round, all times of day. Have two Shimano boxes full of different baits, and they all do something a little different. Find the right cadence, pause length, and twitch motion and I can catch most every species. Quote
Steveo-1969 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 My favorite wya to fish is a bottom contact bait and I'm usually throwing a jig or t-rig. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 19, 2014 Super User Posted September 19, 2014 Not necessarily my most productive technique, but I love the jerkbait! Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted September 19, 2014 Super User Posted September 19, 2014 I love top water and jerkbaits Quote
ColdSVT Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I love top water and jerkbaits Im with this guy! Although the t-rig out produces both for me in a given year Quote
kikstand454 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I catch most of my fish on a c-rig, but top water is obviously the most fun. I have done nothing but dream about punching mats this year- so right now, I guess that's my favorite! Quote
Super User Raul Posted September 19, 2014 Super User Posted September 19, 2014 The least productive is my most favorite ---> fishing topwater with a Jitterbug. 1 Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted September 19, 2014 Super User Posted September 19, 2014 Flippin' in the nastiest cover around. Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Dragging a shaky head rigged craw over rocks, UL fishing with small cranks and spinners and punching are my favorites. Quote
Justin Mott Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I love to fish a spinnerbait. I feel like my level of focus increases while my level of stress decreases. I know that I will catch something given enough time. Justin Mott Quote
grizzly1654 Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Flippin & pitchin a t-rig or throwing a jerkbait. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted September 20, 2014 Super User Posted September 20, 2014 I really Love Chunking & Winding ~ Long bombing or target casting. Looking for the right depth, action, speed and angle all make me happy and keep me focused. So fishing most any moving bait suits me just fine - especially if it's getting clobbered on a regular basis. A-Jay Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted September 20, 2014 Super User Posted September 20, 2014 For me the most exciting fishing you can experience is topwater. It's all about the approaching wake or explosion and seeing the bite. Cool times. My second favorite fishing is the jerkbait. Anticipating the bite just before it happens is really fun. 1 Quote
