chris55552 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Can anyone recommend a sturdy well built spinnerbait brand that wont fall apart after catching 2 or 3 bass or after a few grass burns. The booyaah spinnerbaits ive been having so much luck on is a great lure however they just don't hold up well at all!!! Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted September 17, 2014 Super User Posted September 17, 2014 I use booyah spinnerbaits and they last a lot longer than 3 fish... The vibra flex ones Quote
kikstand454 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Hildebrandt. Toughest ones I know other than the titanium t1 terminators. Quote
kikstand454 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 ^ war eagle are my personal favorite. But in overall toughness, I'd have to give the edge to Hildebrandt. Jmho Quote
Super User Munkin Posted September 18, 2014 Super User Posted September 18, 2014 One with a .040 wire which rules out War Eagle. Allen Quote
bassr95 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I love War Eagles, but they are not very tough. Booyahs seem to hold up pretty well. Quote
warpath58 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Hoppy's Hoppyslures.com made in Old Hickory TN. Quote
TorqueConverter Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Terminator Titanium. The titanium wire is a "memory metal" meaning that it doesn't get all bent out of shape and instead snaps back into its original shape. Pricy but really resilient baits. Quote
sp09 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Nichol's spinnerbaits, great baits and durable baits. Chris. Quote

Basseditor Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I think you catch more on a lighter wired frame but they are not as durable as a heavy wired frame. I opt for Manns and Stanley Vibra shaft. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted September 18, 2014 Super User Posted September 18, 2014 Used to be terminators, but they aren't nearly as good anymore, the front blade on a double willow often has a tough time spinning. I would go with the revenge heavy duty or a pepper hawg from pepper custom baits. Quote
einscodek Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 spinnerbaits are generally fairly durable I like the lighter wire frames so high durability I pretty much gave up on.. but I've only had 2 snapped this year and both on the same day strangely but also both were used for over a year last season as well Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted September 18, 2014 Super User Posted September 18, 2014 When I need a stout spinnerbait, especially fishing south of the border, my go to job is the Strike King Hack Attack Heavy Cover Spinnerbait. I will admit to "customizing" it a bit by changing the skirt & blade configurations, even shortening the wire length a little when the need arises. However the basic frame and Hook are durable and can usually withstand a good number of fish before it's too bent up to use. A-Jay Quote
river-rat Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Stan Sloan Aggravator. They are made with 0.40 wire and will hold up well. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted September 18, 2014 Super User Posted September 18, 2014 Stanley, SK Premier, Siebert. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 18, 2014 Super User Posted September 18, 2014 Mega Strike StrikeBack and Siebert Outdoors Cosmic are all I use. Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 The New Roland Martin HEAVY DUTY SPINNER BAIT is the best Period. Super heavy duty gauge wire-large 5/O Mustad Ultra Point Hook- Twist bend for tying braided line -one size larger swivel- Quote
Super User Raul Posted September 19, 2014 Super User Posted September 19, 2014 ´For me it´s very hard to say: "try this brand or try that brand" for a simple reason, more than 25 years ago I purchased several Strike King spinnerbaits and other than a couple I lost I still have and fish with them, skirts have gone through several replacements but that´s about it. Can't think of a better built heavy duty spinnerbait. Quote
