Now that fall is approaching, what lures are great transition ones to throw?

 

Will senko's produce until winter? 

 

I'm trying to stock up on lures as the water slowly gets colder over the next few months. Also, I love night fishing in fall because I don't have to worry about spiders and other things that I can't handle when it's 101 on a July night

Anything works in the fall up until about about low 50 degree water temps. It's when moving baits really start to shine though.

I love a squarebill this time a year. Spinnerbaits and topwater as well. Also jigs. Man I love fall fishing

The fall is great for wake baits and topwaters, once the water temp gets a little too low for them to hit top on regular basis, that is when the spinnerbait and square bills come out.

Yes as well as bladed jigs, jerk baits, jerk baits and did I mention JERK BAITS!?!?

Everything works, senkos and stick worms included, but this time of year is a good time of year for cranking and winding to cover water and get in touch with those aggressive fish. If you find them concentrated in one area or missing the moving baits, then break out the senkos to clean up or because they're not quite getting the moving baits good enough. A bluegill colored bladed jig has been killing them for me lately.

if your night fishing its hard to beat a black buzz bait or a big black single colorado blade spinner bait.

Water on my local lakes has fallen to the mid 60s

I still have a jig, deep crank and t-rig beaver on deck as well as a frog or vixen

However a lipless crank, a-rig and a jerkbait have made thier reapperances until i put my rods down for ski poles

fall is the time when i usually do best with squarebill cranks.  anything shad color does the job for me.
