George DeHaven Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Hey All, I have a KVD Tour Crankin' Rod and one of the micro guides had the plastic ring fall out of it. Any suggestions on how to fix it WITHOUT replacing the entire guide? I was thinking electrical tape but it's a very small guide. Any info is appreciated! Thanks! Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Replacing the guide is the only repair that will be anything other than a stop gap measure. It will have to be done eventually. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted September 16, 2014 Super User Posted September 16, 2014 If you still have the insert, and it is undamaged, you may be able to epoxy it back in place. I've managed to do that once. I've failed at that more than once. Wrapping on a new guide is the correct way to fix the problem. Quote
benthinkin Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Had it happen to me. Seems like all micro guides do this, I wish they would figure this out. It is a pain in my side. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 No, all micro guides don't do this. Cheap guides of any size do this. Quote
