Topwater98 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I am looking for a rod to fish frogs. I am planning on using the Diawa Tatula for a reel. The rod needs to be under 100 dollars and I would like to find one for 80 dollars or less. Any suggestions? What gear ratio reel should I get? Thanks for any help. Quote
Kevin Beachy Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Try for a vertitas. There on sale right now for about $70. There nice rods. Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Try to find a Veritas on sale or use a Fenwick. Both are great budget rods. Quote
SenkoGuru Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Right now you can find Duckett Micro Magic rod's for $99.00 with free shipping. You can not beat that rod for that price. I would go with the 7'0" Heavy for Frogging. Quote
LunkerFisher Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 another vote for the veritas! I am using the 7'3" MH as a frog rod. It is definitely more stout than the 7'6"mh Quote

Preytorien Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I use a heavy/fast BPS Carbonlite. I think it's excellent, lightweight, stiff, and sensitive......and one nice thing is that if it ever has an issue you can just take it right back to the store. 1 Quote
