Grantman83 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 So I recently bought a bunch of d/c generation 1 veritas rods to use on the reservoirs here as beater gear. Great deals to begin with. However, one of the guides fell out of my micro 7mh. I called about about sending a replacement guide and they said just fill out a warranty claim. I was called back promptly after my email and the claim handled. I asked for a regular guide version just to help with durability. I come home today (5 business days later) to find TWO brand spanking new generation 2 veritas 7ft mh waiting for me. Abu, you guys do it right. The veritas rods have a rep for breaking but they do take care of you. In other news, these new versions are sweet. The regular guide version feels better balanced and lighter than my micro generation one. The clicking reel seat is awesome and they feel slightly less stiff. Sawweeet 1 Quote
Cgrinder Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Glad to hear it. Post a review of those gen 2's when you get to fish them, if you don't mind. I was looking at one for my gear-destroying girlfriend. Quote
Diggy Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 They are great, I love them! You can get that guide replaced also since they let you keep the rod. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted September 12, 2014 Super User Posted September 12, 2014 I had a similar experience with a Silver Max reel. I ended up buying one of the older models from WalMart. I had an issue with it. They asked me to ship it to them and in replace I get the Gen 2 Silver Max. Was not expecting that. I was very much appreciative of that and since then I have stayed loyal to them. You can't beat great customer service. Quote
Josh Smith Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I had to call them up once to order parts; I wasn't going to try a warranty claim because a reel got damaged in a move. The lady was very helpful and polite to the point of being flirtatious. I think technical talk turned her on. Josh 2 Quote

Josh Smith Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 What is this "Pure Fishing"? I have gone to their website and I get a "store closed" message. This is the one listed on Google; comes up first on the search. Josh Quote
