jaysen Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 not sure if anyone recognizes my avatar but i am a big king of the hill fan. in one episode based on fishing Hank Hill speaks to his son explaining fishing, saying "we don't fish for the fish. Ninety percent of what I like about this sport -- and it is a sport -- is sitting in the boat doing nothing. And the icing on the cake is when God smiles on you and you hook one. And then when you're reeling it in, everything else falls away. You don't think about taxes or traffic or that pushy gal that's trying to get into the Citadel or who's going to take care of you when your mother and I are old and incapacitated. All there is is a man, a rod, a lake and a fish. And it all starts with a hand-dug American worm." i dont know if mike judge (creator of king of the hill) or the writers are fisherman but it sure sounds like they get it. 4 Quote

basshead1 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 That crack fishing really works and that episode cracked me the f up. How do I know about crack fishing you ask? Well about 20 years ago me and my buddy went to our daily fishing spot after work. When we showed up there were empty beer cans, a cigarette pack and a big empty bag of chips. The first thing my buddy did was pick up all the crap and put it all in the giant chip bag. When he picked up the smokes it was not empty but it contained a few cigarettes still along with a tiny ziplock bag with what we assumed to be little crack rocks. We are quite the stoners but neither of us cared much for anything other than that and we did not want to bring it with us in the car until we got to a barrel. So we did what most stoner fishermen would do, we started throwing the little rocks in the water. Most sank right away or were so small they dissolved but the few that floated caused a bluegill feeding frenzy. We told our buddy about it and the approximate amount of cocaine and he informed us that we fed an 8-ball to sunfish and we were lucky no drunk crackheads came back looking for their stash. hah We returned to our spot the next day to find a bunch of sunfish walking around the pond trying to sell fish sex for crack. hah First part was a true story but fish hookers not so true. lol http://youtu.be/RzLBSFI1PvA 1 Quote
