Nice budget.  More than I can afford so I can't be of any help.  Hate to tell you this, but a rod such as you want will work great with spinnerbaits.  :teeth:

A good all around rod would be the G.Loomis 783C GLX 6'6" MH. It can handle just about anything.

Another would the 844C GLX.  It is a 7' Heavy but it is light and powerful on the hook set.

I love my Dobyns extreme, but I'd be looking nrx for the upper end. You should be able to find one used in great condition for around 350

Dobyns 744 or 745DX Extreme rod in that price range. Great all around rod for bottom contact baits like Jigs, T-Rigs, C-Rigs.

I'd check out a St. Croix Legend Tournament Xtreme. They are absolutely amazing rods. The 7' MH/F would be a great all around rod.

I'm a fan of the NRX as well, Although I like the shorter version better. My personal favorite in the 853. Just a superb jig/plastics rod. in the 3/8-1/2 range.
