Those are both fine reels, you really can't go wrong with either. Take the rod that you intend to use the reel on to the store with you and see which one feels the best in your hand.

Having used both, the CI4+ is 10x the reel the Premier is. The Gen3 Premier doesn't really feel like a $200 reel to me; retail it's ridiculous. I'd buy a Gen2 before a Gen3, but the CI4+ and Curado I are both better reels than the Premier.

Just going by how they feel I like the Revo better, it's easier to palm and the layout isn't so crowded. My biggest issue is how close the spool tensioner is to the crank arm. If you want a really lose spool then the arm actually catches and clicks on the arm. But other than that I've heard fantastic things about both and I can believe it based on the price. Especially the MGX.

Yes, what Tom says above.

And do this for any future reels you purchase.

Shimano.  Can't go wrong with a Shimano.

I think you should buy the Calais DC.  Decide it wasn't really what you wanted.  Give it to me.  Then buy the C14.  :teeth:

You're wasting you're time & money on Revo anything in my opinion.... If you want to have options look at Shimano & Diawa ... Both company's make stellar reels..

Use what you like, the Revo 3 is a good reel, it is not great.  If you want a better Revo, find a Gen 2 Premier, it will fish with any of the reels mentioned and save you 100+ dollars.

Tatula for 103.00 on auctions sites, you realy cannot beat that reel at that price. out of the two you listed I would go with the shimano, the Ci4 is a fantastic reel. could save a little and go with the curado I.
