Super User iabass8 Posted December 8, 2014 Super User Posted December 8, 2014 Lynch will be better than McCoy. Unless McCoy starts catching passes, he won't do much. 70 may be low. 80 is a pretty safe bet. Doubt he scores. he hasn't had more than 20 yards receiving since week 2. since week 3 he has had only 2 games /w more than 10 yards receiving. (14 yds and 18 yds) Wilson will undoubtedly be better than Sanchez and it isn't close. Wilson will probably run for more yards than McCoy. I was off by 2 yards on this one.. Called it! With that said.....SUPER good game. Both teams looked good. Calls were a little speculative on both sides. Philly still wins the division. 1
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 8, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 8, 2014 For Seattle to win this game they are going to have to completely dominate on defense because if it comes down to a shootout or special teams the Eagles have the edge for sure. Looks like they dominated in EVERY category: Seahawks Eagles Total First Downs 28 9 Total Net Yards 440 139 Net Yards Rushing 188 57 Net Yards Passing 252 82 Time of Possession 42 mins 18 mins Glad to hear your support of your team. But, looking at everything, one just has to look at their schedule this year to see the Eagles won against mediocre teams, and lost to higher-calibur teams. In fact, they were stomped by Green Bay. And Seattle wrote the book on dominating defense, allowing only 6 points in the last 2 games against tough opponents. And who beat Green Bay? Who beat Denver - again? Love your passion. Just don't let it get in the way of reality. 24-10, Seahawks. I rest my case. 1
Jd_Phillips_Fishin Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Called it! With that said.....SUPER good game. Both teams looked good. Calls were a little speculative on both sides. Philly still wins the division. LOL
Super User Sam Posted December 8, 2014 Super User Posted December 8, 2014 I guess the Deadskins are totally out of it this year. And the Saints suck, too. The Raiders' season was over after their first kickoff. Lucky for me the Packers look good.
Super User Darren. Posted December 8, 2014 Super User Posted December 8, 2014 Today is your day! It should be a fun game. Well, the Bills clearly have a great D. Time to work on that O to become a complete team. Broke Peyton's games-with-a-TD streak, so something to put on the chalk board, LOL.
Super User iabass8 Posted December 8, 2014 Super User Posted December 8, 2014 Let's not dwell on a game that had an obvious outcome I'm not a big Manziel fan but he needs to start. Brian Hoyer is awful. 14/31 for 140 against 3 of the leagues worst corners without Vonte DavisI actually sat through that mess of a game. Had Andrew the pud Luck not made those 2 turnovers for TD's early, I really think johhny may have started in the 3rd. . I really hope they see what they have in him next week. really can't be any worse.
Super User flyfisher Posted December 8, 2014 Super User Posted December 8, 2014 I know i am going to sound like a homer here and i am one but these refs were horrible. There were two key bad calls that led directly to seattle TD where the Eagles would have stopped them. I mean how do you miss a lineman going 15 yards downfield when wilson is scrambling? And the bogus PI call that should have either been a no call or offensive PI that extended another drive. Then of course there is the obvious first down where Carrol asked for a measurement to give his defense time to rest and get different players in..... The Eagles defense played very well and i couldn't ask them to do any more. Seattle played good defense, even though it was aided by the refs a lot in the first half especially. That ref crew has now done 6 eagles games and 12 seattle games.....is it a coincidence that the eagles are 1-5 and seattle 10-2 in those games? maybe it is but when i have friends who are giants, cowboys and redskins fans texting me throughout the game saying how bad the calls were i find it tough to believe that i am alone in this one. And don't get too hypoed on time of possession, that is pretty normal for an Eagles game with how they run the offense. Anyways, a good game that we got beat and even though statistically it looked bad, it was a close game as can be seen since it was only 10 points. Now we have to beat Dallas as it is basically for the division.... Go Chargers!!!
wisconsin heat Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 ^^ I was watching the game as well and it was not a clean game at all. Lots of penalties on both teams. Saw the same two plays not get called on seattle, but I also saw a pass interference on the eagles that didnt get called, which is surprising, cuz their DB's were all over seattle's receivers and most of the time they get em on that. One thing that shocked me was that Russel Wilson threw an intentional grounding and it WAS CALLED. I swear when I watch the seahawks russel wilson when he is under pressure will 1-3 times per game throw an intentional grounding and it will not get called. Yeah he runs 15 yards backwards but he is STILL IN THE POCKET. Between the tackles, and the ball lands before it reaches the line of scrimmage, doesn't matter how far he runs back that is an intentional grounding and it should be called. 1
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 8, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 8, 2014 It could be argued there were bad calls on both sides of the ball. But it all evened out. BTW, the Eagles only had 4 penalties. Hawks had 8......Homer. Seahawks Eagles Penalties (Number-Yards) 8 - 67 4 - 69 1
Super User Catch and Grease Posted December 8, 2014 Super User Posted December 8, 2014 Dem steelers doe! No? Just me? Okay...
Super User flyfisher Posted December 8, 2014 Super User Posted December 8, 2014 The seahawks have been one of the most penalized teams since carrol got there so no big surprise there. The timing was more my concern....or the omission of the calls completely that is an issue. Oh well, we all move on and now it is time to get ready for Eagles Dallas next Sunday night.
Super User Oregon Native Posted December 8, 2014 Super User Posted December 8, 2014 Could be wrong here but it was obvious to me the over dramatization of the Eagles when some plays were made and how you got very little of that from the Seahawks. Just another observation... Seattle defense looked good.
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 8, 2014 Author Super User Posted December 8, 2014 Looks like they dominated in EVERY category: Seahawks Eagles Total First Downs 28 9 Total Net Yards 440 139 Net Yards Rushing 188 57 Net Yards Passing 252 82 Time of Possession 42 mins 18 mins 24-10, Seahawks. I rest my case. I'm surprised the score was even that close. The Seahawks dominated the Eagles and made Sanchez look just like he was back with New York.
Missourifishin Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I haven't read through the entire thread, so I don't know if this has been mentioned. But did anyone see the refs STEAL a victory from the Chiefs? That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen in my life on the review.
Super User rippin-lips Posted December 9, 2014 Super User Posted December 9, 2014 I figured Seattle would beat the Eagles and they are my team. Hopefully they can put it to Dallas again next week. Should be a good game to watch though.

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 10, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 10, 2014 Dallas isn't playing Seattle for the remainder of the year, so......... no. I think it's ironic there are 4 teams, yes 4, with losing records that may still make the playoffs. At least one of them will be in the playoffs with a losing record. The irony is that several years ago, people were screaming, hollering, and complaining that the 'Hawks made it into the playoffs with a 7-9 record. How many of those people are fans of those 4 teams today, and what are they saying now? Funny how the shoe fits different when its on your own foot. 3
Super User Lund Explorer Posted December 10, 2014 Super User Posted December 10, 2014 This was on CBS Sports, if Dallas beat Seattle... don't they get the tie breaker? From ESPN, the following explanation: Seattle - Wins tie break over Detroit based on best win percentage in common games. Wins tie break over Dallas based on best win percentage in conference games. Detroit - Wins tie break over Dallas based on best win percentage in conference games.
Super User Redlinerobert Posted December 11, 2014 Super User Posted December 11, 2014 Looking forward to the 49er vs Seattle game this weekend. Never been, being hosted by a good friend with sideline seats. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 11, 2014 Author Super User Posted December 11, 2014 Good friends, great seats and an electrified setting. Sounds like a special weekend to me. Good luck!
Super User Oregon Native Posted December 11, 2014 Super User Posted December 11, 2014 Lets hope your right!!! But do have a fun and safe trip.
Super User Redlinerobert Posted December 12, 2014 Super User Posted December 12, 2014 *Update. Raining buckets here in Northern California. Hundreds of flights cancelled today. Roadways are flooded. If this system doesn't wane out, we'll be watching Sunday's game from home.
Super User flyfisher Posted December 12, 2014 Super User Posted December 12, 2014 This was on CBS Sports, if Dallas beat Seattle... don't they get the tie breaker? The only way you get to use head to head is if one team beat the other two or one team lost to the other two. Since that didn't happen, Dallas gets bumped due to the conference record. If it is two teams tied for the same spot then, yes head to head is the first tiebreaker
