Super User iabass8 Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Made it through round 1!! Best game of the weekend. Dal vs GB should be a super good game in Lambo. I don't see Dal winning but should be lots of offense. 1
Super User Jrob78 Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Dallas is going to have to play a hell of a lot better next week to get past GB. This game was crazy. I'm just glad Lawrence redeemed himself after that boneheaded play on the fumble. Reversing the pass interference call was odd but it is what it is. Hell of a game! Go Cowboys!! 2
Super User flyfisher Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 That reversed PI call was as bad as i have ever seen. oh well, i can only hope they lose next week now, and i think they will
craww Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Refs were pretty inconsistent throughout the game but they got the P.I. right in the end. Should have been a facemask on the receiver prior to Hitchens grabbing him, which would have offset. Dallas got the win against a team that matches up well with them. Lawrence came through big when he needed to for sure. The Oline just seems to shut pass rush down by the 4th quarter. Greenbay hasnt played physical teams too well in the playoffs, next week will be interesting.
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 5, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 5, 2015 First off, I was hoping Dallas would win because I wanted the Panthers to come to the Klink (they don't stand a chance!). However, I would've liked to see the outcome if the refs hadn't paved the way for Dallas. I have doubt Dallas would've won. Some very serious bad calls (or "non-calls") that affected the outcome of the game occurred. Unacceptable during the playoffs. Let's hope for a more fair match between GB and D. Bring on the Panthers! Here kitty kitty kitty! 1
craww Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Any of you guys saying the refs threw that game for Dallas did not pay attention at all. The were at least 5 bad/no calls against Dallas. Theybasically tackled the punter w/no call. Called interferance on williams for getting pushed into a defender by a defender, to name a few.
Super User Jrob78 Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Yeah, the roughing the kicker no call was bad. Especially after they called it against Dallas a few series' before. The way I look at it, Suh shouldn't have had his suspension reversed so it kind of evens out. 1
Super User flyfisher Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Watch that punter call again...the detroit player was pushed into the kicker by a dallas player, hence the no call. If they didn't make the PI call it would be one thing but to throw the flag, make the call and then reverse it without saying anything is more where i have a problem. it was obviously a PI call, every single analyst is saying so but the real question is why didn't they just keep the call.http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/24652025/is-this-the-nfl-ref-czar-on-cowboys-party-bus-irate-nfl-execs-say-yes
Super User F14A-B Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Yep, it's clearly pass interference, A terrible call, almost a Vegas call!
Super User Jrob78 Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 It will be interesting to hear what the NFL says about it. Either throw the flag or don't but to pick it up is pretty strange.

Super User FishTank Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Broncos vs. Colts BRING IT ON! As an Indianapolis resident, I can't loose but hope the Colts play a solid game and move on. If they succeed, they will more than likely have won a date with New England. Oh joy......
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 5, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 5, 2015 Any of you guys saying the refs threw that game for Dallas did not pay attention at all. Umm....maybe you want to take a look at this.... Report: NFL VP of Officiating seen on Jerry Jones' party bus Oh, and Jerry Jones is on the competition committee, which decides rules and points of emphasis every year. This is a major, major deal. I'm sure there's A LOT more to come on this.
Super User tomustang Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Don't doubt it. I've never seen such a team complain and cry for a flag on every single missed play.
Super User Jrob78 Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Umm....maybe you want to take a look at this.... Report: NFL VP of Officiating seen on Jerry Jones' party bus Oh, and Jerry Jones is on the competition committee, which decides rules and points of emphasis every year. This is a major, major deal. I'm sure there's A LOT more to come on this. That's old news, happened before the season. Nothing is going to come on this. This is what the ref had to say. After the game, referee Pete Morelli explained to a pool reporter the call: “The back judge threw his flag for defensive pass interference,” Morelli said. “We got other information from another official from a different angle that thought the contact was minimal and didn’t warrant pass interference. He thought it was face guarding.”
Super User F14A-B Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Interesting story, of course I'm really not surprised, leave it to TMZ, to get the scoop. Hoover would be proud...the Referee should be fined for NOT using performance enhancing drugs... Christie sure likes to hang with Jones, Hmm....
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 5, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 5, 2015 And another call that favored Dallas.... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/04/dez-bryant-could-have-been-flagged-for-unsportsmanlike-conduct/ However, it appears that, in the heat of the moment, a little leeway (or more than a little leeway) was provided to the Cowboys’ bench.
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 5, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 5, 2015 Old news or not, that, combined with the favorable calls (or no-calls) during the game plus the Cowboy's surprising winning streak heading into the post-season calls into question their entire season. And just to iterate, I'm glad they won b/c I'm looking forward to next week's Hawk/Panthers game. But the integrity of the Cowboys organization and the NFL is now in question. That said, it's all moot, b/c Greenbay is going to feast on Romo next week.
Super User aavery2 Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 I think Dallas will perform well against GB. They have all the tools they need to be successful. They have a QB that is playing well, a running back that had an 1800+ yard regular season, a future HOF Tight end, and a couple of great receivers in Bryant and Williams. They also have some lesser known players like Beasley that are contributing. If the offensive lineman can play a little better than they did tonight, it should make for a very good game. 1
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 As a Lion's fan I had hoped the outcome would have been different. Not taking anything away from Dallas they took the MoJo away from Detroit, they outplayed them in the second half. The P.I.call should not have been reversed, but not called in the first place, Pettigrew clearly grabbed the facemask. IMO Witten kept the Cowboys in the game, he played really well. 1
Super User iabass8 Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Lol.... Dallas' "surprising" winning streak at the end of season MUST have been because if the refs! It. Had nothing to do with the ridiculously easy schedule into the playoffs did it? Jerry must've paid off somebody.... Clowns Highly unlikely anything becomes of this call. It wasn't the right call. Refs make mistakes... Even in Seattle. If they didn't overturn the fail Mary with replacement refs then there's nothing that's going to become of this aside from 2 to 3 days of media attention and then it's on to Saturday. Jerry being seen with the refs happened in August so unless they were waiting five months to bring something about, nothing is going to become of that either. You guys sound like a bunch of high school girls. It had nothing to do with being unable to take advantage of a Cowboys tick poor defense by Stafford right? Clearly it was the refs fault...Dallas is it going to be Green Bay anyway but it should be a fun game to watch. 2

The Cowboy's have won one (now 2) playoff games since the 1990's and now there is a conspiracy to help them beat a mediocre Detroit team? Slow down dude. Sour grapes because they beat Seattle at home?

preach4bass Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 A boy named Sue was allowed to play in this game after his suspension was overturned. A pass interference call was overturned. Six in one, half a dozen of the other. Call it the overturn game if it makes you feel better, but both teams had something to gripe about. At the end of the day the Cowboys won!
